what is the minimum gate score to get into nit?

Minimum marks to apply for NIT's

depends upon two factors.

your percentile..

&

your category..

if your percentile is good then you will get into NIT

approximately you have to get arround 750 AIR

if you're of reserved category then it totally depends on your luck..

hi this is very uncertain question so i will say that this will completely depends on the branch you want to get into

which nit you want so i will say to attend the counselling and get to know your position

There is must b/w 500-700 rank to get admission in NIT...............

If you want to take admission in NIT then you must want this rank if you have this rank then you can take surely admission in NIT..................

Hello.
To get into any NIT the average GATE percentile is within 96 to 98.
so all the best.

It would be better to attend the counselling and hope for best
you should get an all india rank of 600
to get a good NIT
so just keep faith

the minimum GATE score at which you may get admission to NIT's is 85 percentile .

based on the previous cutoff the person below 90 percentile can get admission to these
NIT'S

NIT Allahabad
NIT Bhopal

if you have percentile above 90 percentile and below 95 then you can get admission to these colleges ::

NIT-Warangal
NIT Bhopal
NIT Durgapur
NIT Allahabad
NIT Bhopal

and above 95 percentile you can get admission to any NIT including some IIT'S
ALSO

if your gate score is more than 510 then u can apply for maximaum nits

this depends on cut off of exam that decided after the examination.the last year it was 39 marks for last year.

its all purely depends on your branch , cutt off marks ...............approximately your ranking should be arround 1000..............then u can get seat in nits..................

you did not mention your branch.
normally one must score above 450 to get qualify.

If you are from cs/ece branch your score must be above 500.

sir i got gate score is 260 mechanical branch under sc category can i get seat in to any nit

To take admission in best NIT like
1.NIT Trichy
2.NIT Calicut
3.NIT Warangal
4.NIT Surathkal
5.NIT Rourkela

Your GATE Score must be above 600.
According to the Percentile, Your percentile must be above 95.
According to the All India Rank,Your rank must be less than 3000.

For rest of NITs Gate score will be above 450.

my gate score is 347 in 2011 so is there any nit?

Hi

GATE stands for the Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering and it is basically held for the selection of students for the M.Tech courses in colleges like IIT's, NIT's BITS, etc and many more..


Now this exam is held on All India Basis and so about lac students take part in it. Next I am listing the eligibility criteria for applying for the GATE exam :


1. A candidate should be a minimum graduate in B.E/B.Tech/B.Arch/B.Pharmacy in order to be eligible for the GATE exam.


2. He/She should have scored a minimum 50% in graduation. A relaxation of 5% is given to the SC/ST/OBC category people.


3. As such no limits have been imposed for the number of attempts for the GATE not any age limit.


Now the GATE exam is of 1000 marks, and it has been observed over the past years that only those students secure a seat in NIT's and IIT's who have more than 95 percentile. ie roughly 850+ marks.


So as such no minimum GATE score can be said, as the performance of the students vary every year, and the cut offs go up and down, but yeah score more than 92-95 percentile marks and then you would be able to definitely find a seat in any of the NIT's across India.

The minimum GATE score to enter into the NIT is at least 97 percentile to 95 percentile.........If you score more than that, then you have a chance of getting into the IIT'S.........

selection of college either iit ,nit on the basis of cut off in gate exam .
minimum score should between 85-96 percentile in gate exam for nit. Different NITs organise their own interview or direct admissions.

Hello

For NIT counselling you have to fill up the CCMT which is a centralized counselling for NIT.

The cut off marks depend on branch to branch, NIT to NIT and the cut off changes every year.

From the analysis of previous year for general category it was found that minimum mark was around 400 to 500 gate score
