There is no minimum Criteria defined by UPSC for SCRA Exam.
But for many UPSC and CBSE examination the minimum marks required is above 60%... So if you have then surely you are eligible for appearing in UPSC Exams.. The minimum age is required 17-21.. I think you are between in above given ages so you are eligible.. But You have to know that SCRA exam is one of the toughest exam held by UPSC so be prepare for it. |

Special Class Railway Apprentice (SCRA) examination is conducted by Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) every year in behalf of Ministry of Railway board. To appear in the SCRA you need the following eligibility criteria. Educational Qualification : To appear in the SCRA exam you should pass the 12th std. from first or second division with mathematics and at least one of the subject Physics and chemistry as the subject of examination. Those student who are appearing in the 12th board exam are also eligible for the SCRA exam. SCRA eligibility is follow-
Nationality A candidate must be either : 1. A citizen of India, or 2. A subject of Nepal, or 3. A subject of Bhutan, or 4. A Tibetan refugee who came over to India before 1st January, 1962 with the intention of permanently settling in India. or 5. A person of Indian origin who has migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, East African countries of Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania, Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia or from Vietnam with the intention of permanently settling in India. A candidate in whose case a certificate of eligibility is necessary, may be admitted to the SCRA examination but the offer of appointment may be given only after the necessary eligibility certificate has been issued to him by the Government of India. (II) SCRA 2011 Age Limits : A candidate must have attained the age of 17 years and must not have attained the age of 21 years on 1st August, 2011, i.e. he / she must have been born not earlier than 2nd August, 1990 and not later than 1st August, 1994. The upper age limit is relaxation as follows : 1. Up to a maximum of five years if a candidate belongs to a Scheduled Caste or a Scheduled Tribe. 2. Up to a maximum of three years in the case of candidates belonging to Other Backward Classes who are eligible to avail of reservation applicable to such candidates |

Eligibility for SCRA exam is:
age:lower age limit of 17 years and upper age limit of 21 academic: must have passed Intermediate or equivalent exams in government approved board with mathematics and physics/chemistry. citizenship: indian or indian by origin should be physically fit |
