If you are BSc (Maths) graduate then you can get admission in MSc but if you are willing to get admission in MTech (Maths) then you need to have a BTech in the relevant stream or you an MSc in the same.

The difference of the degree is that the some course of MSc is already studied in BTech and so the MTech course becomes different. MTech includes more part of computing and statistics. A maths MTech is assumed to be more qualified in the field of statistics and computing and give a tough competition even to a MTech computer science engineer.

Dear friend ...

For doing M.tech first you need to be b.tech engineer...with maths as your subject...but usually you dont find maths as a subject in m.tech...but yes you can always opt for Msc in mathematics...

hello dear though msc is masters degree but m tech is considered above than msc itself one may go for msc after completing his/her graduation in science but for m tech you need to complete your msc or b tech in relevant area that is difference between two . and if you are student of bsc than you are not eligible for gate so go for iit- jam exam . all the best.
