Well friend,

You don't need any Hindi as a compulsory subject, but you need to have 5 subjects to maintain minimum of 50% in 10 th class..

And IIT Educational Criteria Truly based on The qualifying Exam.

Qualifying Exam includes HSC exam Or CBSE 12 Exam.

Good luck.

hi!

No, it is not necessary to take hindi in class 10th for getting admission in IIT. In fact IITs do not consider class 10th marks or subjects taken in class 10th. It is only concerned with your performance in class 12th.

IITs conduct an entrance exam called IIT JEE for admission of students to BTech course offered by them

IIT JEE eligibility is as follows:

Candidates belonging to GE, OBC and DS categories must secure at least 60% marks in aggregate in their 10+2 or equivalent exam referred to as qualifying exam(QE). Whereas, those belonging to SC, ST and PD categories must secure at least 55% marks in aggregate in the QE.

no it is not necessary that you should have hindi as language subject in class 10th to apply for IIT JEE.

but in your 10th board examination you should have one language subject with the english subject. but it may be your first language. it will not create any problem to take admission if you don't have hindi subject in class 10th.

best wishes.

No it is not at all necessary to have Hindi as a subject to be eligible to appear in IIT-JEE.
As per CBSE, any of the languages either Hindi or Sanskrit or both is indispensable until class 10th but not there after.

No, it is not compulsory to take Hindi to apply in IIT-JEE. But if you will not take it can become a problem in applying to government Jobs because in some jobs it is asked that regional language should be studied till 10. So it will be better if you take it

Hindi will not be necessary if one of the subjects like Telugu, Sanskrit, Urdu etc. would be one of your language subject in addition to the English which is also a language subject.

So definitely there should be a minimum of two languages at your 10th level in your board examinations and one of them is English and the remaining one may be any of the above mentioned languages.

The minimum eligibility to appear for IIT-JEE is a pass 10+2 from a recognized board.

Keep this in mind that you can appear for the JEE exam only 2 times that too in 2 consecutive years. You must be physically fit for the course which you apply.

No, not at all. But it is important to have English as a subject. You need to ensure that you score well especially in the science subjects. You can choose any of the regional subjects not necessarily Hindi. It will not be a problem during admission time.

10th standard has nothing to do with the eligibility for IAS examinations.

However, major boards like ICSE and CBSE have made a language paper apart from English compulsory.

No there is no such issue regarding your subjects in class 12th.

So there is no need to worry in this matter.

The only concern with subjects comes in class 12th when you must have Physics, Chemistry and Maths as your subjects.

So you can skip Hindi and opt for any other subject if you want.

Best of luck

Hello,

IIT entrance exam is applicable only for 12th students.
So tour 10th marks don't count at all.
Moreover Hindi is not a technical subject to be made mandatory at IIT.
You need to clear the entrance test of IIT to get into it with a minimum of more than 50 percent in class 10

Hindi is not at all necessary for the IITJEE examination. The exam is based on the syllabus of 10+2 level.

But in 10th Hindi is a compulsory subject so you have to study it.
