NEET 2017 eligibility for SC category


Well actually i am SC category candidate and i got 62.5%. Can you please tell me that whether am i eligible for NEET 2017 or not?

Yes, you are eligible for NEET 2017 exam.

Those candidates who have completed 12th standard from a recognized board with Physics, Chemistry and Biology subject are eligible for NEET 2017 exam. At 10+2 level you need to secure minimum 50% of marks in physics, chemistry and biology taken together. (SC, ST or OBC must have obtained 40% marks in Physics, Chemistry and Biology/Bio-technology taken together).

Your age should be in between 17 to 25 years. The Upper age limit is 30 years for SC / ST / OBC category candidates in NEET 2017.

NEET stands for National Eligibility cum Entrance Test. It is a National level Medical entrance examination which is conducted by CBSE, Delhi for offering admissions to MBBS/BDS Courses in Government and Private Medical/Dental Colleges of India.

Eligibility Criteria for NEET 2017 :-

=> You should be an Indian National or Overseas Citizen of India (OCI).

=> You should have passed Physics, Chemistry, Biology/ Bio-technology and English subjects individually and must have obtained a minimum of 50% marks taken together in Physics, Chemistry and Biology/ Bio-technology subjects in your 12th standard board examinations.

=> You should have attained the age of 17 years at the time of admission or should complete the age on or before 31st December, 2017 of admission to the 1st year M.B.B.S./B.D.S. Course.

Upper age limit is 25 years as on 31st December, 2017. Upper age relaxation of 5 years is provided to reserved category candidates as per government norms.

NEET 2017 eligibility for SC category:-

The candidate must be an Indian national or OCI (overseas citizen of India)

The applicants must have faced between 17 to 25 years as on 31st December of the admission year( for reserved applicants maximum age limit is 30 years)

The applicants must have qualified 12th standard or equivalent examination from a recognised board with physics, chemistry, biology / biotechnology and mathematics or any other elective subjects with English

The candidate must have scored minimum 50% in PCB group( 45% for general pH and 40% for SC/ ST/ OBC.

The minimum eligibility criteria for NEET 2017:

A candidate must have passed class XII with Physics, Chemistry and Biology as main subjects from recognised board. The minimum percentage should not be less than 50% and 45% for reserved categories. Age limit should be in between 17 to 25 years.

NEET stands for National Eligibility cum Entrance Test. NEET is conducted once every year by Central Board of Secondary examination. As per Supreme Court, NEET is the only single common entrance test for admission in different medical courses like MBBS and BDS course respectively.

Eligibility criteria:

>>Candidate must have passed 10+2 from a recognized board. Essential subjects compulsory for MBBS course in 10+2 is Physics, Chemistry and Biology.

>>For general and OBC category candidates, minimum percentage requirement is 50% in board exam and for SC/ST candidate is 45% in board exams. With 62.5%, you are eligible for NEET exam.

>>The minimum age limit for this exam is 17 years on 31st December of year of exam.

You can apply for the exam with 62.5% marks in board exam. The notification for 2017 NEET will released in December.

NEET stands for National Eligibility Entrance Test and the examination is conducted every year for admission of candidates I medical courses in government and private institutions.

The eligibility to appear for examination is :-

Candidate must have passed or pursuing 10+2 from any recognised board.

Candidate's age must be between 17-25 years as on 31st December of year of appearing for examination relaxation in upper age limit of 5 years for SC/ST category.

Candidate must have minimum 50% in Physics, Chemistry and Biology/Biotechnology 5% relaxation for OBC/SC/ST category.

So, you are eligible to appear for examination and after qualifying in examination eligible for admission in government institutions.

NEET stands for "National Eligibility cum Entrance Test". Being a SC category candidate, you must have passed 12th standard from any well affiliated board with Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English subjects. Also you must have to score minimum 40% marks in 12th exams for appearing in the NEET exam. Your age must be in between 17 years to 30 years for applying the NEET exam.

NEET stands for National Eligibility cum Entrance Test and it is a common medical entrance examination which is going to be held once every year by CBSE for selection of students for their admission in MBBS and BDS courses from government medical colleges.

--> For appearing in the same examination, the qualifications which you satisfy are as here under :-

* You must have the nationality of India with your age lying within 17 years to 25 years till the 31st December of that year in which you are getting enrolled in the first year of your undergraduate degree course. Upper age limit relaxation of 5 years is applicable for reserved category candidates.

* You must have completed your higher secondary school degree with Physics, Chemistry and Biology as your main subjects with a minimum of 50% aggregate ( in case of reserved category candidates the aggregate must be at least 40% ) in these three subjects from a recognized board.

National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) is conducted in place of AIPMT from 2017 onwards. You have got 62.5% marks in 12th standard and want to know whether you are eligible for NEET exam or not. Yes definitely you are eligible. Following are the eligibility criteria for taking NEET Exam:

Educational qualification: Students must have passed 12th standard or equivalent examination from a recognized board with Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics & Biology/ Bio-technology or any other elective subject with English. Student must have scored minimum of 40% marks (for SC candidates) in PCB group for getting eligible in test. Appearing students can also apply.

Age Limit: 17 to 25 years. Relaxation in maximum age limit is given to reserved category students as per govt. norms.

>>The online application will be started in the last week of December. So in my opinion you have to start your preparation for the exam.

NEET stands for National Eligibility cum Entrance Test. As per your percentage yes you are eligible NEET examination The required eligibility for SC candidate is 50% in class 12th along with Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Bio-technology subjects. The age of candidate must be minimum of 17 years and not be greater than 25 years. The upper age limit relaxed by 5 years for SC/ST/OBC.

Eligibility for NEET :
1. The minimum age limit for NEET exam is 17 years.
2. The maximum age limit is 25 years.
3. The minimum marks percentage for sc category candidates is 40% marks in 12th.
4. The candidates must have taken physics, chemistry, biology subjects in 12th.

Yes, you are eligible to appear for NEET examination. NEET examination is conducted every year.

The eligibility to appear for examination is that the candidate must have passed 10+2 or appearing for examination. Candidates must have minimum 50% in Physics, Chemistry and Biology for general category relaxation of 5% for reserved category.

So, you will be eligible to appear for NEET in 2017.
