is net exam valid for pharma ph.d registration? whcih syllabus pharma students should opt for? is it based on biotechnology syllabus?

yes NET exam is valid for PHD in pharma field also.Pharmacy students can appear in CSIR-NET and ICMR-NET.CSIR and ICMR are having well established laboratories in which various project related to pharmaceutical sciences are included.Candidtaes clearing these exams are awarded with lecturership, SRF and JRF.
Pharmacy students can give these exams in life science or chemistry subjects.
mostly pharma students opt life science subject because it is easy for them,but students doing m.pharm in medicinal chemistry can give net by chemistry subject also.
in life sciences subject whole zoology and botany, biochemistry, biotechnology, genetics mainly included.apart from this aptitute and general science questions are comon for all candidates of all subjects
