For PD candidates there is 3% reservation of seats. Its been specified by the Indian Government.
The disabilities include Visual,speech,hearing,locomoter etc The above information is for IIT JEE entrance exam |

In IIT there are only 3% reservation for Physically Handicapped student. For more information please see the website of IIT. You will get all information about reservation of seat in IIT JEE. |

In IIT JEE Entrance exams there are 3% seats are reserved for PD candidates as specified by the Government of India and rest 15% and 7.5% seats in each course are reserved for candidates belonging to SC and ST categories.
For any category of disability, benefit would be given to those candidates who have at least 40% permanent physical impairment in relation to a body part or whole body. Dear friend,
According to the reservation rules from IITs: For PD, including leprosy-cured candidates, who qualified JEE with lower cut-off marks and are fit enough to join the course offered, a total of 3% reserved are available in each categories,ie, GE , OBC ,SC and ST and is specified by Govt. of India. The category of disability (ie, locomotor, visual, dyslexia, speech,hearing) benefit would be provided only to those students who have at least 40% physical permanent disability. Also the reservation is subjected to the certification by a medical board which is constituted by IITs during counselling.
