Re: Opportunities and placement details of Mechanical Engineering?
Mechanical is a Mother branch .It contains the knowledge of production ,automobile, power, designing etc.So have good knowledge in auto-CAD then you can go for the designing jobs or you can go for the jobs in Power stations ,production industries .If you have good grip in automobile then you can go for the car manufacturing companies like -TATA,TOYOTA ,SUZUKI etc.
If you are interested in higher study then you can go for MBA or M.tech . o there are various way you can go.Now in depend on you and your interest . Thank you |

Re: Opportunities and placement details of Mechanical Engineering?
Some of the places where Mechanical Engineering graduates can find employment are the automobile industry, steel plants, space research organizations, oil exploration and refining agencies, and the technical wing of the armed forces. Government departments such as the PWD, CPWD, and the post and telegraph department, as well as those dealing with aeronautics, chemicals, agriculture, and power plants also recruit mechanical engineers; they hold titles such as junior engineer, assistant engineer, assistant executive engineer, executive engineer, and superintendent engineer. Professionals may also be absorbed as administrators or managers.
A fresh graduate can earn a salary of Rs. 10,000 to Rs. 15,000 per month excluding other allowances. In the government sector, the salary range of diploma holders is Rs. 12,000 to Rs. 15,000 per month. Lecturers in colleges can earn a starting salary of Rs. 12,000–Rs. 13,000 per month. Senior engineers can earn anywhere between Rs. 30,000 and Rs. 50,000. Those at management levels can earn up to Rs. 60,000 or more. Thanks. |
