Quote:
i.e., actually you have three stages ->Preliminary examination (CSAT) ->Mains Examination ->Personal Interview Now the selection should be in this way you should give the max importance to your interest because you have to spend a lot of time in studying your selected subjects if you don't have interest in what you have selected then it will become mere waste in ..you will be suffered with boredom so don't listen anyone's suggestion go through the syllabus and topics of each and every optional select the subject in which you are most attracted and have a 80% interested topics in the syllabus this is how you have to select the optionals this should be your target and you have to rock the preparation time interestingly not boringly so, if you are interested in any optional select it even if every one says it as the toughest one .. this is all the opinion of my friends who are preparing for the same Take the guidance of successful and unsuccessful candidates and make a best choice Regards ~AdityA~ |

Re: Which optional subject to choose in Civil Services Exam for BSc IT?
civil service examination is held in the month of May or June there are the “Preliminary examinations”. In this examination, there are two papers. The papers are on:
1. General Studies (150 marks) 2. Some optional subject (300 marks) After successful completion of preliminary exam you move on to next round "MAIN Exam" and then final round "PERSONAL interview", to be a part of civil service department. But preliminary Exam syllabus is HUGE and vague, as listed below. But don't worry good time managed study leads one to success. “Some optional subject” paper: You can choose from the following subjects: Try to choose the subject which you have covered maximum number of time(not mandatory ) in graduation or higher or one on which you are interested and feels that you have good knowledge Agriculture Animal Husbandry and Veterinary Science Botany Chemistry Civil Engineering Commerce Economics Electrical Engineering Geography Geology Indian History Law Mathematics Mechanical Engineering Medical Science Philosophy Physics Political Science Psychology Public Administration Sociology Statistics Zoology The results generally come out by July or August! Once the results are out, you will know whether you are going to be appearing for the “Main Examination” or not! Now, in the main examination, there are “9” papers that you have to give! These papers include: -> 1 Essay type Indian Language Qualifying Paper (300 marks) -> 1 English Qualifying Paper (300 marks) -> 1 General Essay type paper (200 marks) -> 2 General Studies papers (300 marks each) -> 4 Optional subjects papers (300 marks each) finally after completion of above exam successful, you get qualified for "personal interview". regards ~>@$H!$H |
