Why wont it be?
Yes its a good option. Dont worry about the low success. If you are the best and most interest in Electrical Engineering subject then it will be 100 times better than choosing an uninteresting and popular subject Its just that you will have to work a bit hard. But you dont need to worry as your basics are almost cleared. Its a myth that choosing engineering subjects lowers the success rate. I heard once before a guy chose the toughest subject and scored in top 10 So if all depends upon you All the best |

Yes why not??
If you are good at electrical (and ofcourse you are good at it because its your subject), then you should choose it without any hesitation.... If your basics are cleared and have depth in the subject, then how come you won't be successful??? forget about what people say.... If you are confident, then go for it.... |

Re: Is it good to choose Electrical Engineering as one the optional subject for Civil Services Examination?
well despite the fact that you are from electrical engineering
background ... i will suggest not to choose it as an optional. The syllabus is quite vast and is even more tough. while traditional subjects like Geography, political science are good and scoring... there is no mathematical things and hence\ much less complication.... you just need to read and know the things. They have been preferred by engineers as well. You should choose from these subjects only... don't assume that being from E.E. you know and you will have less load, For ias you need impeccable knowledge... so choose a more successful subject... it will be easier.. trust me. Many people fail because of wrong selections of subjects like these. You be wise and don't make that mistake |

you are from electrical engineering. you can choose that, but the pattern is vast and it is considered as a difficult subject.you can go for general subjects like public administration, geography, sociology, history.accordi ng to your interest in the subject you choose your optional.

Re: Is it good to choose Electrical Engineering as one the optional subject for Civil Services Examination?
Yes Electrical is always a very good subject, if you have studied Electrical in your graduate level at college it should be your first option.
But if you have never studied this subject it's bit difficult to grasp all the concepts. Being an Electrical engineer myself I think unless you take any classes on electrical you should not gonna take is as your subject. |
