Hi friend,

One crucial thing in IAS preparation is the election of optional.
Here we need to remember one important point .That is selection of optional should happen by the scoring it gives and the trend of scoring it has so far.
For that we need to fulfill the following criteria::
1.Faculty
2.Material availability
3.Guidance
4.Number of aspirants we have, to discuss that optional topics while preparing.
5.Coaching availability

There are few optional subjects which are regarded as famous optional subjects like::

Public Administration
Geography
Anthropology
Sociology
Political Science
Psychology

So ,you need to closely examine the optional previous year paerps and trend of scoring. Then you can pick one optional among them.

All The Best
