on 24 oct BHEL exam will be conducted..can u help me what type of pattern they used in exams?

the exam consists of 240 objective questions, each of 1 mark , to be answered in 2 and a half hours, around 35 seconds for each question .
this exam has two sections -

1) aptitude test
2) technical test

The paper pattern for BHEL entrance exams are -

There are 240 questions in the paper and out of 240 120 are Technical and other 120 are Aptitude & General English questions.

There is a negative marking of 1/5th mark for each wrong answer. Five options are given for each question of which only one is correct.

And you should complete the paper within 150 minutes.

BHEL stands for Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited ,it is one of the largest engineering & technology company of the country.

BHEL Entrance Test Exam Pattern is done by a written test followed by interview.

There are 240 objective questions divided in 2 sections. First section contains Aptitude Test where questions are based on quantitative aptitude, logical thinking, reasoning ability, English language & general awareness.

Second Ssction consistes of Technical Test where it is divided into 2 parts- General Engineering questions & Questions related to specific discipline which is selected from categories like Civil, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.

And then if you are short listed ten you will be called for the interview section.

Hello friend,
BHEL entrance exam consists of 240 questions from which it is devided into two section. The first section called quantitative aptitude, reasoning,verbal and non-verbal,logical. The second section called technical.,different for all branches.
After quantitative aptitude the selected or shot listed candidate will be called for the interview.
So prepare well for the written first then you will be called for interview.

there is no syllabus for it .on the basis of previous exam it is like GATE exam so you can take gate papers to prepare for it .

Question pattern for BHEL examination is as follows

120 from Technical Side (60 from Electrical Engg & 60 from General Engg)
120 from Non Technical Side (35 from English, 35 from Aptitude & 50 from Maths)

Technical Paper is purly Numerical Based

Electrical Engg paper has around
1) 15 Questions from Electrical Machines out of this 10 numericals.
2) 8 Numericals from Control System
3) 4 Numericals from Instrumentation
4) 15 Questions from Electrical Power out of this 8 numericals
5) 8 Questions from Circuit and field theory
6) 10 Questions from Electronics (Power & Digital)

General Engg paper has around
1) 35 Questions from mechanical engg
2) 15 Questions from Physics
3) 10 Questions from other general engg

there are 240 question from which 120 are technical & other 120 are apptitude test.
the question are of multiple choice answer .
from which you have to choose the correct one.
for wrong there are penalty for .25 , 4 wrong answer you will loose 1 mark.

there is a time limit you have to complete on that time.

BHEL test Pattern:

There are two sections in BHEL exam:
1. Aptitude Test
2.Technical Test

There are totally 240 questions in which 120 questions are from Aptitude section and 120 from Technical section.

Written Test Details


1. Written test will consists of 240 multiple choice objective type questions.Test is designed to assess the candidate's Professional ( Technical) Knowledge of the chosen Engineering Discipline and Higher Aptitude covering area like Quantitative Aptitude, Reasoning Ability, Logical thinking, English usage, General Awareness etc.

2. Your performance in this written test will determine possibility of further considerations of your candidature.

3. here is a specific time limit for Written Test. Candidate will have to answer 240 questions in 2 hours and 30 minutes.

4. For each question, a choice of few alternative answers have been given, out of which only one alternative is correct. You have to choose the alternative, you think to be correct and indicate your choice on the OMR answer sheet.

5. Your admission to this Test is, however, provisional. The candidates are advised to ensure while applying that they fulfill the eligibility criteria and other requirements and that the particulars furnished by them are correct in all respects for the post applied for. Mere appearance at the Test does not entail you to make any claim for the post. You will be treated as debarred ab-initio in case you do not fulfill the essential eligibility criteria.

6. The Answer Sheet is a special OMR (Optical Mark Reader) sheet.

7. Use BLACK or BLUE Ball point Pen ONLY.

8. Every question will carry 1 mark. Negative marking to the extent of 0.2 marks per wrong answer will be applicable.

9. a) For answering the Test questions, there will be CIRCLES in the Answer Sheet. The chosen answer is to be indicated by darkening (encoding) one of the CIRCLES fully. Any other method of answering will be taken as incorrect answer.
For Example, If 10x+6=106, then 15X -10 will be
(1) 100 (2)140 (3)110 (4)80 (5) None of the above



Since correct answer is option (2), the CIRCLE 2 will have to be darkened (encoded) to fill the space completely like this:



The following are not correct methods of marking:



b) Darken only in the CIRCLES provided. Please do not make any stray marks on the answer sheet. This will be penalised.
c) Rough work must not be done on the Answer sheet. This will be penalised. You can use the Test Booklet for this purpose.
d) Change / Cutting / Overwriting / Erasing of CIRCLES is NOT permitted.

BHEL conducted written examination on the basis of Reasoning type questions and related to communication skills.

The paper pattern for BHEL entrance exams are -
Engineer Trainee (ET)
Supervisor trainee (ST) (Finance)
BHEL Diploma Holder Trainee in Electrical (EEE) / Electronics (ECE) / Mechanical / Civil Branch.

There are 240 questions in the paper and out of 240 120 are Technical and other 120 are Aptitude & General English questions.
