Eligibility Conditions

B.Com. /BBA with not less than 45% marks in the aggregate;

Or

B.Com. (Hons.) Degree with not less than 45% marks in the aggregate;

Or

A Graduate with Honours in Economics / Mathematics / Statistics / Commerce , Computer Applications, Information Technology or Computer Sciences as a Subject in the Examination: A pass in the final examination conducted by the Institute of Company Secretaries of India. with not less than 45% Marks in the aggregate;

Scheme of Entrance test Test

> > The Entrance Test of 1 hour 30 minutes duration shall comprise one paper comprising 75 Objective Type (Multiple choice having four responses A, B, C & D) carrying one mark each.

> > The question paper will have 55 Questions on subject knowledge of Commerce and 10 each on General knowledge and verbal ability/ reasoning.

Punjab University Chandigarh has invited Online Registration facility for enrolling candidates who are interested for taking admission in M.Com for the academic year 2013 to 3015.This will be a 2 year Post Graduation degree course .It will include total of 4 semesters.The eligibility that you will have to meet for taking admission in this course is as follows :-

Academic Qualification :-
~You should have a bachelor degree of 3 years in Commerce/Statistics from recognized university.
~If you have completed your statistics degree course from India Institute of statistical science then you will be eligible to take admission in this course.

Marks :-
~Candidates having Honors paper in Commerce then your minimum marks should be 60%.
~Those candidates who are having Statistics as a Honors paper then their minimum marks should be 50%.

Exam Pattern :-
~This entrance exam will include questions from 4 sections.
~Each section will include 25 questions.
~Total duration of entrance exam will be 2 hours.

Exam Syllabus :-
~Logical and Analytical Reasoning.
~Numerical ability.
~English Language.
~Commerce related questions from Bachelor degree.

Eligibility Criteria for M.Com in PU, Chandigarh:-

-You must have done your graduation in Commerce (B.Com) from a recognized university .

-You must have secured at least 50% marks in your graduation.

-Some institutes and universities are accepting graduates with Honors in Economics or Business/Management Studies for Post graduation in Commerce.

-Certain institutes and universities carried out entrance examination also.

-Admission is based on the marks acquired in the last examinations of graduation and entrance test.
