Well first of all I would like to correct you a bit that it is not percentage but rank that is important to get admission in medical university. But if you are talking about the percentage that you received in your higher secondary, then let me tell you that mostly medical colleges prefer candidates within 60-65% in higher secondary percentages. This may change with respect to the number of candidates. But along with this your MBBS rank in JEE examination must be within 1000 to get a general medical specialization. Most government colleges prefer people from or within 1000 rank only. After that remote colleges take up the rest candidates upto their capacity. SO check your rank accordingly.

Higher secondary education in science stream is the basic educational qualification required. Candidates should have studied subjects such as Biology or life sciences as core subject.
