I,Varun Kumar Soti, currently pursuing 2nd Year M.Pharm In Pharmacology. My Dissertation(project ) work is going to complete in December and the course will get over by April Next year. I am deeply interested in doing PhD in either UK or Europe. I want to know how to get admission and apply for scholarship for PhD in these places. I also want to know about visa, staying in UK/Europe during the duration of PhD and other relevant information that may be required. Kindly help me.I am waiting for your valuable guidance.

To help the foreign students to get admission in European countries there are certain centers in all most all cities in India set by British Council.

First try to find out those centers and they will help you in your processing.
Its free of cost.

You need to take their help because the processing in European countries has to be done in their native language and we won't be able to do it on our own.
They will help you by translating your application in their language like french, German etc.

Very interesting. But studying in UK or US is very preplanned matter,you need to prepare at least one and half year before.First sit for GRE and IELCT and making a score.On the basis of the score apply directly to the university,parallely university offer you some scholarship schemes or information about the scholarship is available on the website.They sclect candidate on the basis of GRE score.

Information regarding this you will found in British council library and information centre.

Procedure:: you have to take GRE and score highly to get scholarship
... higher the score higher your scholarship( generally)
Apart from that almost invariably they also ask for TOEFl Scores
Note: you must also have recommendations from reputed professors
In fact a well connected prof can get you better scholarships..
excellent academic score is a precondition for good colleges.

Phd programmes in London are available over four years, full time only. If you want to do part time you must complete within seven years.

QUALIFICATION NEEDED
To be eligible you need a good degree and a degree in pharma in first class is one such. Some universities may also ask you to have a good score in TOEFL.

WHEN TO APPLY
The closing dates for PhD programmes for University of London are usually January and February of each year.

COST
Cost varies for different universities. However to recomment you an idea of the cost you need:-
12000-16000pounds per year for PhD programme
6000-9000pounds per year for living expenses

FUNDING
Funding for foreign students (those living outside England) are very low You may get some burseries of 1000-2000pounds per year or discount of 5% on your yearly tution fees, depending on your present quality of education. However, there are few scholorships available, the details of which can be obtain from your nearest British Council Office.

COLLEGES
For list of colleges and to have more information you can log on to University of London's official website www.lon.ac.uk or you can also get first hand information from British Consulate in your city.

I have already completed my M.Phil Degree on Physics. Now I want to get PhD Degree from a raputed university of EUROPE. How can it will be possibile for me?

I discontinue my studies after 12th. After gap of 11yrs i take admission in b.sc(maths) and after that i completed my m.sc. both in first division from university of madras. Is it possible that i do my ph.d from any european university.
