PhD after 5 year integrated M.Sc. course
Hi Sir/Madam,
I have finished MSc software engg(five years integrated course). Can I study PhD and write gate exam. please give me a details. it is very useful for me. Please tell me, I am eligible for this one. |

yes, you can study Phd with at least 55% marks in your msc course.GATE qualified candidates are eligible for doctoral programmes in relevant field of sciences.

yes your eligible to do phd after completing msc now adays there is no need of doing mphil to do phd if you finish your phd you have great future please apply for net exam because your eligible to do that now because you have completed pg

yes you can appear for GATE and apply for a PHd. provided you qualify GATE with atleast 55% in your MSc. I have provided below details of one of the most desired institutes to do Phd in- BARC . (or) equivalent with minimum 60% * marks in one of the following Engineering disciplines: Chemical, Computer, Electrical, Electronics, Mechanical, Metallurgy, Instrumentation are eligible to apply. Applicants for Physics discipline should have Physics and Mathematics up to B.Sc (or) at subsidiary and / or ancillary level in case of 5 Years integrated M.Sc. Applicants for Chemistry discipline should have Mathematics up to XII std and Physics up to B.Sc (or) at subsidiary and / or ancillary level in case of 5 Years integrated M.Sc. For Biology and related disciplines M.Sc in Agriculture, Biochemistry, Microbiology, Molecular Biology, Biotechnology, Genetics, Botany, Zoology, Plant Science, Plant Breeding, Plant Pathology, Entomology, Food Technology, Animal Science, Life Sciences and Biosciences. (or) BE / B.Tech / B.Sc (Tech) only in Food Technology with minimum (or) 60% * marks. MSc applicants should have Physics (or) Chemistry (or) Biochemistry (or) Agriculture Chemistry up to B.Sc (or) at subsidiary (or) Ancillary level in case of 5 Year integrated M.Sc with minimum of 60% * aggregate marks in M.Sc as well as in B.Sc. Applicants opting to be considered on the basis of GATE Score should have valid GATE Score in Life Sciences. Those having M.Sc with specialization in subjects like Fisheries, Horticulture, Forestry, Agronomy, Animal Husbandly. Marine Biology and Home Science etc and BE / B.Tech / M.Tech in Biotechnology / Genetic Engineering are not eligible. * A minimum of 60% marks means that 60% minimum marks in the qualifying degree / P.G. degree as per the ordinance of the respective university in the respective disciplines (or) equivalent CGPA (converted to % marks by multiplying with 100 / x if GGPA is on x points scale). Those whose final results of qualifying degree are awaited can also apply. In the event of selection mark sheet of final result should be submitted by 30 November, 2010. B. BARC 2010 Age Limit: The candidates desirous of availing DAE Fellowship should have been bom on or after 01 September, 1984. I have completed my M.Sc in Computers with excellent score and i want to do my Phd. I have about 1 year work experience in an reputed company as Software devloper. I would like to know that how can i purse my phd program without appearing GATE? Is it possible? If so how can proceed further? Please help me out. |
