I have completed B.E in ECE & M.E in Communication Systems & currently an Assistant Professor from past 3 years. I have not done MBA. But, I am interested to do PhD in management. Am I eligible to do PhD without doing MBA even if I hold a Masters degree in other discipline? Please help me out!

To do a PH.d you need a masters degree. Normally it is done in the field in which you specialised in Masters. But it is not a compulsion. So you can go in for the area you desire. You will need to put in more effort as it not an area of your specialisation.

Can I do PhD in Electronics after MBA from SCDL (Marketing)? Before MBA i had done B.E. in Electronics.

See first thing one should know is , phd require minimum 3 papers published in journal, and two conference paper presentation and a thesis need to be defending it successfully to the satisfaction of the expert committee.

So even specialized area in which he is working , do provide tough and testing time, during completion..( out of 5500 registered only 550 completed phd in osmania university)

Also time duration of phd is of minimum 4 years and goes up to 7 years based on the work inputs from student ,,So if one is handling a subject area of specialization he is motivated by means of his job work , his peer group ...but one is in new area it will be pure mental torture.

Also if one's phd is not related to the specialization , he cannot capitalize on benefit of hard work in terms of his/her salary or position in future..

So think on hard work and benifit you are going to derive in future ..

Can you suggest me some advanced courses to do after finishing Masters in Communication Systems? As for Centrasl government exams like BEl,NTPC entrance exams they are asking GATE score?Is going for GATE coaching is suggestable sir?Please tell me Thank you sir.
