Salary in government job depends completely on the post you are holding. In almost every industry the higher ranked officials get a high package with lucrative perks and bonuses. In India officers in the Indian Army, Navy and Airforce gets very high package and other perks and benefits. In ISRO and DRDO the salary of aeronautical engineers and researchers are also very high. Even the officers at the power sector, Oil and gas, universities earn handsome salary with other benefits as well. So its very difficult to pin point which job gives highest salary as salary depends upon various factors.
