Procedure to appear for IAS Exam :- Candidate should have a completed graduate degree from a recognized University or equivalent qualification and No minimum marks required for this examination . Percentage is not matter for this examination and pass marks is enough to appear for this examination . Those who are appearing in the final year of graduate degree may also eligible to apply for this examination . Candidate age should be between 21 years and 30 years at the time of appearing for this examination and Upper age limits is applicable for this examination . Three year for OBC candidates , Five years for SC/ST candidates , Five years for Ex-Servicemen candidates . Four attempts for General candidates , Seven attempts for OBC candidates and No limits for SC/ST candidates . Prelims topics are :- General Science , Logical reasoning , Decision Making , Comprehension , General awareness , History of India , Current Events , National of Importance , Indian and Polity , Basic Numeracy . You will have to give the civil service exam. There are many head post offices in which these forms are available. The application procedure starts in february. The fees is Rs. 100/- However no fees will be charged to Schedule Caste, schedule tribe and Physically disabled candidates. Eligibility Criteria Only those candidates are eligible who have completed 21 years of age and are not more than 30 years of age. some relaxation is also there for SC/ST/OBC candidates in the upper age limit. The general candidates can attempt it only 4 times and OBC candidates can attempt it only 7 times. There is no limit for Number of attempts for Schedule Caste, schedule tribe candidates. There are two exams Preliminary exam and main exam after which interview takes Place. The application procedure for preliminary exam this year started on 4th february and the last date for submission of form was 5th march. The preliminary exam was conducted on 20 May Those candidates who qualified the preliminary exam were called for main exams . the Mains will be held on 5 October this year. the main exams can last for about a month. So you should start your studies for next year IAS exam and apply for it in February next year. |

There is no specific exam as IAS exam. To become an IAS(Indian Administrative service) officer one has to appear and crack Civil Service Exam conducted by UPSC once every year.
The Civil Service Examination is held through three stages:- CSAT- CIVIL SERVICE APTITUDE TEST which is called as PRELIMINARY EXAM comprises of all objective type questions. CIVIL SERVICE EXAMINATION MAIN comprises of all subjective type questions from prescribed syllabus. PERSONAL INTERVIEW which is the final mode of selection after which one become an IAS officer. For this year the registration process for Civil Service Exam has already been completed and the exam process is going on. If you are interested you can apply for this in the next year. The notification will be announced during the month of Feb to March. To be eligible for Civil Service exam:- The candidate must be an Indian National having either appear for the final Graduation Degree exam or pass in any stream of education from a recognised University within the age of 21 to 30 years with upper age relaxation for reserved candidate.
