Re: Procedure and eligibility to attend IAS exam?
Let me start by saying that your martial status will not hamper prospect of appearing for the Civil Services Examination. Now if you want to appear for Indian Administrative Service then surely needs to complete graduation.
It does not matter if you discountinued the graduation few years ago and now completed it. As long as you complete any graduation course there should be no problem in appearing for the Civil Services Examination. Once you have completed graduation start preparing for the Civil Services Examination and when the time comes apply for it. The notification for next Civil Services Examination will now only be issued next year. If you completes the graduation in between then use the remaining time to prepare for the entrance exam. You will face a tough competition to clear the Civil Services Examination conducted by the Union Public Service Commission. IAS Eligibility 1. Must be able to provide document verifying your Indian nationality. 2. Do need a graduation degree as qualification to apply. 3. Marks in the graduation does not matter as long as you have passed. 4. Candidates younger than 21 years are not eligible for the exam. 5. You should not cross 30 years age limit criteria. 6. The relaxation is 3 years for the OBC. 7. It is 5 years for SC/ST. 8. No physical criteria for Indian Administrative Service. Exam Pattern 1. Preliminary Examination 2. Main Examination 3. Personal Interview |
