Re: What is the procedure to give IAS entrance exam?
IAS entrance exam is conducted by UPSC, usually at the month of May. Graduates below 30 years of age can apply. General studies, mental ability, general awareness, English language, Indian Polity, Indian Constitution, are some of the main topics asked for the test. Reading prathiyogita darpan, The Hindu news daily, competition winner, etc are useful to sharpen your GK. TIME, Career point, etc are some of the good coaching centers for study.

The Civil Service Exam can be applied both through on line and off line mode. Through off line mode the application form can be obtained from General Post offices and through on line mode thr application form can be down loaded from the official web site of UPSC i.e. http://www.upsconline.com The eligible candidate applying for Civil Service exam, is called for a Preliminary exam also called as CSAT(Civil Service Aptitude Test) exam and the candidate selected out of CSAT exam is called for Civil Service main Exam and the final selection is through Personal Interview out of candidate selected from Main Exam.
