I am anamica srivasta studying in 11th standard from jammu region, i want to get admission in ISRO/NASA programme

please guide

NASA

For astronuat a college degree is necessity and of course the grades in too either it is engineering, biological or physical sciencd or mathematics.
If you do M.S it is well and good.


After college you need 3 years of related experience in your field.

after degree and some experience its time to apply for astronauts positions.NASA recieces an averge of 4015 application to fill around 20 slots for every 2 years.and they call around 118 applicants from total for ASB interview based on
experience
potentioal
motivation
ability to function as team
and communication skill.

If applicant intersted in pilot or commandor position then instead of mission specialist then you have to go for at least 1000 hours of flight time in commant of a jet aircraft.These type of training you have to face and need to do in future that why many Many applicants do not meet medical standards while others withdraw after learning all that the job entails. After all these incidents Astronaut Selection Board chooses final candidates and pass to NASA and their decision will be final.

we need to have a qualificatio of BE/B.Tech or equivalent in First Class with an aggregate minimum of 65% (average of all semesters for which results are available).

POST

SCIENTIST/ENGINEER

Candidates who are in final year can also apply for the same.

With age limit of 35 years.

ISRO conducts a written test every year to hire technical students..

After qualifying in the written test you have to go through the technical interview..

They conduct written test in the month of April every year..

Eligibility for ISRO:-

1.one has to complete the BE/B.tech in streams like- Mechanical/Electronics/Electrical/Computer science...

2.One must have 60% aggregate through out the career.

3.If any one in final year of graduation then he/she can also appear in that exam..

4.The age should not be more than 35 years..

5.The candidate must be a citizen of India..

If you fulfill all these criteria then you can appear in ISRO exam..

Educational Qualification


1.To receive consideration for some NASA positions you must complete of a degree in a particular field from an accredited academic institution.

2. Date Your Degree was Received or When it is Expected(if qualifying based on education)

3. Standard Grade Point Average and Scale (e.g., 3.8 of 4.0 grade scale).

Age Factor:-

1.Minimum Age eligibility is 24 Years.



Eligibility for ISRO

1.>You should complete Your B.Tech/B.E From a recognized University.

2.>You should maintain 65% marks in your whole career.

Age Factor:-

Minimum age eligibility is 22 years to appear in ISRO.

Yes ofcourse If ur a US citizen there will be a permanent position for u http://entrance-exam.net/forum/images/icons/icon7.gif

Ya your plan is good. After completing your degrees you apply nasa. But it is not a easy task. Nasa selected only highly qualified faculty members. You have more knowledge to be place in a astronaut in nasa. Good luck

Hello Anamica,

To Be in NASA you have to Apply for the exam of ISAT after completing your 10+2 graduation

Eligibilty to ISAT-2012:

Candidates belonging to GEN and OBC categories require an aggregate of at least 70%
marks in Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics (PCM) in the qualifying examination (10+2 or
equivalent) to make them eligible for appearing in ISAT 2012 and those belonging to
SC/ST/PD should have an aggregate of at least 60% marks in PCM subjects in the QE.

dr . sir. for selection for pilots in defence medical standard is tough.like flat foot & knee knock is a case of rejection.does a candidate desiring to join NASA as astronaut will have problem if he has flat foot & knock knee ?
