After 12th class one is eligible for the hotel management entrance exam and there is no need for the minimum percentage of marks.However if your percentage is good then you can easily clear the exam as you have already gained a good academic knowledge.

Eligibility for Hotel Management Course Admission:

Minimum qualification for admission is a pass certificate in the final examination of 10+2 system or its equivalent. You must have passed at least one public (Board or Pre-University) examination. Those appearing in 10+2 final or equivalent examination can also appear in Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) for being considered on the provisional basis.

Different Hotel Management Exams conducted in India are given below-

1. National Council for Hotel Management and Catering Technology All India Joint Entrance Exam (NCHMCT JEE)
2. Under Graduate Aptitude Test (UGAT)
3. Directorate of Technical Education Maharashtra Hotel Management and Catering Technology Entrance Exam (DTE HMCT)
4. Indian Institute of Hotel Management (IIHM) Entrance Exam
5. Bharati Vidyapeeth University Hotel Management Test

Application forms can be obtained directly from the concerned University’s office by paying the required fee. Forms can be also obtained through post by sending a DD of required fee to the concerned authority. Applicants can also visit the website of the concerned University and download the forms available online. They can also fill the form online and submit the same.

If you want to do the 3 years Bachelors Level Hotel Management course than you should apply to the NCHMCT OR National Council for Hotel Management and Catering Technology Joint Entrance test for the Hotel Management Course.


Eligibilty to apply for this written Test is:

Educational Qualifications: 12th Pass in any stream
English should be one of the subjects in class 12th



AGE- Max age to apply for the General and OBC candidates is 22 years
Only Candidates born on and after 1st July 1991 can apply
SC/ST candidates gets 3 years age relaxations
