State toppers of boards and students with excellent academic records i.e. marks under 90% get direct scholarships from different organisation. You can however go for entrance test for various scholarships.

Some of the scholarship tests that you can give are:

CBSE Merit Scholarship Scheme for Professional Studies
Jagadish Bose National Science Talent Search (JBNSTS)
