Hello freind,
As well know that Agriculture is the most important sector, like a backbone for the Indian Economy.Almost all rural India is totally dependent on agriculture and its allied activities like fisheries, poultry, animal husbandry and diary. As India is a primarily an agricultural country, its growth and development of Indian economy mainly depends on agriculture and its related growth. So, an Agriculture engineer works towards this,i.e. to improve the production by better means of methods. Agricultural Engineers have bright career prospects. Upon graduating or post-graduating in Agriculture and allied sciences, the options and opportunities of a career are many. State Department of Agriculture recruits Agricultural Engineers as agricultural officers for the development of agriculture in a district. Even some private firms are taking lots of interest in agriculture investments.NGOs too could be an option for agriculture Engineers, which are working in rural parts. Those interested in research can join IARI as junior fellow researcher and become agricultural scientists. The basic pay in government sector ranges from around Rs 10000 to 20000,depends on the posts and seniority, while in private sector it may be Rs 20000 to 35000 depending on the firms. So,we caanot say that there are no career options or less perks in Agricultural engineering.even though there it might be less compared to IT field but still there are lots of oppotunities in Agriculture Engineering. |
