i am btech 3rd year mechanical student. i want to join the indian navy but i dont know the proper dates of submission of application form . please tell me the specific dates and references from where i can get the full information.

You have to sit for the CDS exam conducted by the UPSC.

This organization select the students for the post of indian navy by there own selection procedure.

The availability of the application form will be announced in the employment newspaper, so keep in touch with the employment newspaper.

Dear friend,

There are three processes to get into Indian Navy.

First is NDA exam which is written exam and you have to clear the exam first for getting call for SSb and there you can opt for navy or army.
Second is CDS it is also written exam but easy as compare to NDA and it also has same process as NDA.

Third is the form which come for graduates or for degree holders fill that form and then you will get call for GD and PI.

Here is the eligibility for entrance in the Indian Navy after engineering:

Academic Eligibility: The candidate must be pursuing his/her Engineering degree from a college/ university approved by AICTE and recognised by Govt of India. with atleast 60% aggregate marks till Pre-final year ie. upto 6th semester.

Engineering Branch (only Men Eligible): Automotive, Aeronautical, Control & production, Aerospace, Mechanical, Marine, Mechatronics, Industrial and Production, Metallurgy
Naval Architecture(Both Men and Women are eligible) : Aeronautical , Aerospace, Civil, Mechanical, Metallurgy, Naval Architecture
Electrical Branch (Only Men are eligible): Power Electronics, Computer Science, Information Technology, Avionics Engineering, Electronics and Instrumentation, Electronics and Communication, Power Engineering, Control System Engineering, Electrical, Electronics, Tele Communication, Instrumentation, Instrumentation and Control
General Service (X) (Only Men Eligible): BE/ B.Tech. in Mechanical/ Marine/ Aeronautical/ Aerospace/ Production/ Computer Science Engineering/ Information Technology/ Control/ Electrical/ Electronics/ Telecommunication
Important Note regarding selection/ rejection:
The under mentioned candidates need not apply:-
Candidates in their last semester (i.e. eighth semester).
Candidates having backlogs in any of the semesters (appeared or pending)
Other Important Criteria:
Candidate must have minimum of 60% marks in overall aggregate (I to VI semester) and on completion of BE/B Tech.
Age Criteria: Between 19 to 24 years (Between 02 July 1988 – 01 July 1993; both dates inclusive)
Physical Standards :
Height and Weight : Minimum height Male – 157 cms and Female – 152 cms with correlated weight.
Eye Sight – 6/24, 6/24 correctable to 6/6 in each eye with glasses and should not be colour/night blind.

After B.Tech you can join Indian Navy..
For this you have to qualify the C.D.S exam..
C.D.S you have to qualify the C.D.S exam..

There are three steep of selection:-
> Written Exam
> Interview
> Medical exam

IMPORTANT DATES FOR C.D.S. EXAM.(II), 2012
Date of Notification:-02.06.2012
Last date of receipt of form:-02.07.2012(MONDAY)
Date of exam:-16.09.2012(SUNDAY)
