Which should be my home state if I passed 12th from Chandigarh but have domicile certificate of Punjab?


i have studied 12th from chandigarh but resedential in mohali, punjab . I have domicide certificate of punjab. If my home state is punjab for NIT jalandhar ?

Yes you are domicile of the Punjab state

It does not matter in which city/state you have studied. Your domicile state shall always be one of which you hold a certificate.

Understand it in this way. If study in American it shall does make you an American . you shall be still be an Indian. The same thing is applicable for the state domiciled.

I born in Chandigarh but now for last 1 year living in Punjab can i get domicile of punjab
