Re: Which stream to choose in 11th for doing MBBS?
Let me tell you that, if you have a desire to become a Doctor then you need to opt for Medical stream in 11th class.
And if you are good in maths also then you can go for non medical stream. As you have keen desire to do MBBS course then , biology, chemistry, Physics are important to pursue this course. You can also opt for both the streams , if you can handle these simultaneously. So, choice is yours. |

For SC/ST candidate this percentage is reduced to 40%. Your age should be in between 17 to 26 years. Re: Which stream to choose in 11th for doing MBBS?
It is good that you have decided upon of what you want to be in the future. Doctor is a very good profession where in you will give life to the people. For becoming a Doctor, you should pursue MBBS (Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgeon).
Medicine is completely science stream and you should be good in Science subjects. Then only you can successfully complete MBBS course. Though you are weak in Science, concentrate on Science at least from now onwards. Nothing is impossible. If you put your best efforts, you can understand Science easily and you would find it very interesting. As per the stream in 11th class, you can opt for BIPC stream with the following subjects Botany Zoology Physics Chemistry Soon after the completion of this course, apply for the Entrance Exams that give admission for Medicine course and crack it to get admission in a top college. Popular Medical Entrance Exams in India are AIIMS AIPMT In addition to these, there are many state level Entrance Exams. Along with your academics, spend some time towards preparation for Entrance Exam after joining 10+2 as there is heavy competition for Medical Entrance Exams and the number of seats are limited. Though you are good in Maths, that will not be any value add for your Medicine course. There are many colleges in India which are offering 10+2 along with parallel coaching for Medical Entrance Exams. Join in any of those colleges and try to be strong enough in all the aspects of the written exam by the time you complete your 10+2. Make sure that you will qualify in the Entrance Exam and get good score in your first attempt itself. There are many candidates who are taking long term coaching for these Medical Entrance Exams but still not getting admission. Please keep in this in mind and carry out your preparation. |

Re: Which stream to choose in 11th for doing MBBS?
You should basically choose Science subjects that includes Physics, Chemistry and Biology. The options that are availible are PCMB and PCBH.
If you are not a maths person and want to pursue MBBS then you can choose PCBH. However keep in mind that without Maths you will not be able to take up engineering. |
