as per the eligibility criteria for IAS exam aspirant must be graduate from any recognized university and age limit is minimum 21 years so after 12th complete your graduation at that time you will be eligible to write for IAS exam . till that time keep preparing. all the best |

HI!
No, you can not appear in civil services exam conducted by UPSC forrecruitment of IAS officers or state PSC after passing 12th. The eligibility criteria for appearing in UPSC or state PSC exam is as follows: age - candidate should be between 21 to 30 years of age. education - candidate must be a graduate in any discipline. Inorder to become an IAS officer you should first complete your graduation & then appear in civil services exam |

Iam sorry to say that you are not eligible for appearing IAS exam. The eligibiligy criteria is as follows 1.Graduation from a recognized university. 2.Final year students who are awaiting for the results also eligible. 3. Nationality will be either Indian ,Nepal or Bhutan 4.Age should be 21-30, anyway relaxation is there for some categories of students. All the best |

Sorry,you cant give your IAS exam when your in 12th.You need to complete your graduation course for giving CSAT examination conducted by the UPSC board.There is no minimum marks criteria you need for CSAT examination.
You can get the information about the notifications and all in the following link http://www.upsc.gov.in As your still in 12th you have got ample amount of time left with you if you wish to get selected in the Civil service examination.Its better that you start your preparation from now itself.You can download the syllabus and go through the basic part from now. all the best,complete your graduation course with good marks. |

It is good to be looking ahead in your career, but what you are looking for is out of your reach at the moment.
The CSAT or the Civil Service Aptitude Test is conducted by the UPSC. According to UPSC guidelines, you must be a graduate in any field from a recognized university. Also if you are in the final year of your course, then also, you may apply. As presently, you in class 12 ad so you cannot apply. So complete your graduation first, then only you can apply. |

i had done my graduation from recognize university but it was not regular course it was private can i give ias /pcs reason being that time i was also doing my two year diploma from govt college so please guide me.

HI friend...
i am rely sorry to tell u that u cant apply for IAS /pcs exam...because for it u need to have some of the basic requirements for IAS exam are as follows.. only citizen of india,nepal,bhutan and tibetan are allowed for these IAS exam age limit is between 21 to 30 for these u should have a degree of any of the university incorporated by an act of the central or state of legislature in india.. some of the basic requirements for PCS exam are as follows.. where as for these u should have a graduation degree in any discipline from a recognized university or institution.. student should have taken punjabi as one of compulsory or elective subjects in his/her matriculation examination... the age limit for pcs exam is 21 to 35. the maximum umber of attempt allowed for the candidates for exam will be four only and three for those ex-servicemen category. i hope these information helps you... thank you... |

you can not appear for IAS \PCS till the completion of graduation.
you must have to complete your graduation in any stream from a recognized college for this exams. the age limit for this exams are 21-30. there are 5 years relaxation for SC\ST candidates. As presently, you in class 12 ad so you cannot apply. So complete your graduation first, then only you can apply. |

Sir/ma'am my question is that im a USA citizen, but have done my 10th grade with Punjabi as one of my subjects under CBSE board, Delhi from India itself. Right now im doing BDS from Ludhiana and will be finished with the course in 2015. I have a overseas citizenship of India. So am i eligible for appearing for the PCS examination? If not, what would be the procedure making me eligible for appearing. I shall be highly thankful for your prompt response. Thank you in advance!

No 12th pass is not eligible for IAS and PCS exams.
IAS is a National Level exam conducted for central government jobs. PCS is conducted by Uttar Pradesh public Service commission for state government jobs. For IAS and PCS you must have following qualifications: -Graduation in any discipline from recognised university. -For IAS age required in 21 to 30 years if you are general category candidate. -For PCS age required in 21 to 35 years if you are general category. -There is age relaxation available for SC/ST, OBC, PWD and Ex servicemen based on government rules. -For PCS you must be a domicile of U.P. this is pretty appreciable that you're really serious about the most prestigious exam of the country, IAS, but i'm sorry you can't take this exam until and unless you're a graduate from a university in India. there is no such percentage criteria but the minimum age limit to give the exam is 21 years. all you can do now is prepare yourself for it from now onwards only, by keeping in touch with the current happenings in the country and the world, moreover you can go through books on geography, history, economics and general sciences too. Be in touch with a good English newspaper daily. |
