Hi Navreet!

Sorry to say that you can not apply for NDA Exam after passing 11th standard.

You can apply for NDA[National Defence Academy] exam only after passing 12th standard.

NDA exam is held twice in a year namely as NDA(I) & NDA(II) Exam. & organized by UPSC.

UPSC:- Union Public Service Commission

As your Date of Birth is 25th June 1995. so definitely you can apply for Next year NDA Exam i.e. NDA(I)-2013.

-Because age criteria for next year NDA Exam" Only unmarried male candidates born not earlier than 2nd January, 1995 and not later than 1st July, 1997 are eligible for NDA(I)-2013"

-You will also get entered into 12th standard next if currently in 11th standard. So you will be also eligible for NDA exam by qualification.



Basic Eligibility criteria for NDA Exam:

~~Candidate should have passed 12th standard form recognized university/board.

~~Candidate also appear in NDA exam if studying in 12th standard.

~~Candidate's age should be in between 16 1/2 to 19 years.

~~Candidate must have an Indian citizenship.


NOTE:- Only unmarried male candidates are eligible to apply for NDA exam.

Hello Navreet, you can apply for the NDA exam only after the completion of 12th standard but not after 11th standard. The minimum educational qualification is 10+2 standard. The age limit is 17-21 years. NDA exam is conducted by Union Public Service Commission every year. They conduct two exams NDA-1 & NDA-2 every year. There is also B-Tech course in Naval Academy. After getting qualified in the written test there will be physical test and interview. Canditates can chose one of the branch in Defence Academy like Army , Navy & Airforce. Candidates who have qualified in all tests are taken into the Defence Academy and they will be given training.

I am Biswajith.Presently, I am studying in 2 Standard after the completion of my 1 standard.myge is 16 yrs and 1 month.So my question is that can i apply for NDA exam now or after 2 ?

NDA stand for NATIONAL DEFENCE ACADEMY. Sorry.....navreet.
i am to soorry to say that you can not apply for after 11th standard. If you want to apply for this exam then you should be pasapearings or 12th standard first...then you can apply.

ELIGIBITY CRITERIA:-
1. YOU SHOULD BE INDIAN CITIZEN.
2. YOU SHOULD BE PASS 12TH STANDARD WITH PCM FROM ANY UNIVERSITY / BOARD.
3. APPEARING CANDIDATE IN 12TH CAN ALSO APPLY.
4. AGE SHOULD BE BETWEEN 16.5 TO 19 YRS.

I am happy to inform you that your are is not above 19 year y=so you are eligible for N.D.A after passing 11th class.

If you want you can apply in N.D.A-1, 2014.
N.D.A exam is conducted by U.P.S.C twice in a year.
Eligibility criteria for N.D.A exam:-
> Pass 12th with any stream from recognized board.
> Age limit should be above 16.5 year and below 19 year.
> Must be citizen of India
> Medically fit (no major surgery)

There are three stages of selection:-
> Written Exam
> Interview
> Medical exam

As per your date of birth, you are eligible to take NDA Exam.

But as per the academic qualification,

the candidates who have completed 12th class from a recognized college are eligible to take NDA Exam.

Even the candidates who are pursuing final year of 12th class can also take this exam but they should be able to show the proof of passing in 12th class when they appear for Interview,

NDA exam will be conducted by UPSC (Union Public Service Commission) twice in a year in order to recruit the candidates into the following defence services

Army wing
Navy wing
Air Force wing

Dear Friend,


NDA stands for National Defense Academy this exam is conducted by UPSC twice in Year in Month of June and December called NDA-II and NDA-I......

NDA exam is conducted in Three Wings:

1. Indian Army
2. Indian Navy
3. Indian Air Force

If you have completed 12th science from recognized Board then you are eligible for NDA exam In all wings OR If you have completed your 12th std in commerce and arts stream then you are eligible for NDA in only Army wing, final years students also eligible for this exam.....

Age of candidate should be between 16 1/2 to 19 years....

Only Unmarried Male are eligible for it. girls are not eligible for it...

A Candidate have nationality of INDIA...


Exam Pattern:

1. Prelim Exam
2. Main Exam
3. Physical Test & Personal Interview

Army :
1. All the candidates must have completed 12th class from a recognised board

Airforce and Navy :
1. All the candidates must have completed 12th from a recognised board
2. All the candidates must have studied maths or biology , physics subjects in 12th

Age limit :
1. The minimum age limit for NDA is 16 1/2 years
2. The maximum age limit for NDA is 19 years

Relaxation :
1. There is no relaxation given to any one

Sex and martial status :
1. only males are eligible and no female is eligible
2. Only unmarried men are eligible
3. If any one married are not eligible

Physical standards for NDA :
1. You must be in good physical and mental health and free from any disease
2. The minimum acceptable height is 157.5 cms. (162.5 cms for Air-Force).
3. Your chest should be well developed, Fully expanded chest should not be less than 81 cms.
4. The minimum range of expansion after full inspiration should be 5 cms.

Those candidate have completed 12th standard are applicable for NDA Exam.In 12th standard , they are not require any percentage marks .

12th standard with medical stream are applicable for Indian Army post in NDA exam .
