Well since you are Electronics and Communication Engineering the option in MBA for you are very limited. To be honest with you there are no core courses in MBA for Electronics and Communication Engineering candidates.

Why are you not opting for M.Tech in ECE. I hope you are not thinking that MBA offers more opportunity after ECE rather M.Tech course. It is not correct. Your decision should be based on whether you want to do more managerial roles or projects. If you think you have the required skills for managerial roles then you should go for the MBA course else you should opt for the M.Tech.

As I mentioned earlier there aren't much courses in Masters in Business Administration course for ECE candidates. The options in front of you in MBA are:

MBA in IT/Systems

MBA in Operations

MBA in General Management

To get admission in the MBA institute you will have to appear in one of the many MBA entrance exams. The two most common are CAT and MAT.

Common Admission Test

CAT is widely accepted in top B-Schools like IIMs and many other institutes across India. However to be eligible for CAT you need to secure at least 50 percent marks in the bachelor's course if you belong to the General category.

The reserve category students are required to secure at least 45 percent marks in the bachelor's course to appear in MBA course.

Management Aptitude Test

The other entrance exam which is widely accepted across colleges in India is Management Aptitude Test or MAT for short. This test takes place four times a year and you don't really require any eligibility except the bachelor's degree to appear in the MAT exam. Since there is no minimum percentage requirement, everyone is free to appear in the test.

Since there is no extended course in MBA related to EC better chose M.Tech.
Still if you want to go for MBA you have

MBA in General Management, IT.
My advise is to select General one because you have not come across IT i guess.

Hi,
Since you have completed B.Tech in ECE, i would advice you to take up MBA in Telecommunication or Engineering or Technology Management or Project Management. It would help you to have a better future in Management sector.

I think for the engineering students M.Tech is always a better option since that is your related to the subjects you have studied at graduation level and later you can look for jobs related to your subject.

But if you are fascinated by the corporate world and want to try your luck in this field then definitely MBA is the right option for you.

There are a host of areas of specializations to choose from and the decision should be based on the subject that appeals to you the most.

Some of the areas of specialization includes:

Systems
Retail Business Management
Logistics and Supply Chain Management
Media Management
Real Estate Management
Telecom Management
Operation Management
Pharmaceutical Management
Insurance and Risk Management
Entrepreneurial Management
Hospitality and Tourism
Insurance and Risk Management
International Business
Marketing
Finance
Human Resource

Telecom management can be a good option for you since your subject is electronics and communication engineering but as said earlier the decision should be taken purely on the basis of the subject that interests you the most.

There are a list of exams you can give to pursue this course.

For CAT exam a 50% in aggregate is required. Likewise for SNAP test too the same percentage needs to be secured.

There is no age criteria as such for CAT and you can give the exam as many times as you want.

For MAT however there is no fixed percentage to maintain. If you pass then only you can easily sit for the exam. Same as CAT there is no age criteria no restrictions as far as number of permissible attempts are concerned.

hello

Actually there is no such subject due to which you can choose MBA course but yes, you are eligible to do MBA Course . you have two choices for your postgraduation course which are MBA AND m.tech. for M.Tech yopu are required to give GATE exam, but since you are a Engineering student, hence you must be aware of GATE Exam, hence know I wil be telling you about MBA.

MBA --------Masters of Business Administration

Masters of Business Administration or MBA is a course for postgraduation for which you are required to give entrance exam so that you can get admission in Top management colleges. There are a lot of specialisations available for a candidate to do MBA,which are mentioned below.........

specialisations:

1)HRM
-----HRM means ‘human resourse management’. In this there are there are 3 steps for selection of a candidate.
a)First one is to access the needs of candidates.
b)second is to call candidates required.
c)third and last is to select the candidates with required skills.

2)Marketing---In marketing the goods and the services are marketed by the marketing manager.
a)in this firstly the market area is to be find out.
b)then goods are sold and services are rendered
3)MBA in Finance---In this the financial requirements are taken care of.The finance department prepares its accounts from time to time.

4)Retail management—Ina retail management the stock of goods managed properly.Retail management involves storing, warehousing and selling the surplus stocks

5)Banking—In banking the various accounts of clients are made.
In banking business there is money given as loan and also withdrawl of money is done.

6)Insurance—In the insurance business there are policies made ofvarious customers.

7)International business-------In the international business there are various points which decides the fate of a business with the clients of other countries.

But the best specialisations according to my point of view is Finance and marketing.Hence choice is yours for which you can give Entrance exams like CAT,MAT,GMAT,SNAP,ATMA etc.......

the list of top management colleges has been provided in the attachment below

hope this helped
