If you want to become an IAS officer than you have to appear in the three stages of the UPSC CIVIL Services Exams.

The three stages are:
>> Prelims
>> Mains
>> Interview

Educational Qualifications > Graduation pass in any Stream

AGE- Minimum 21 years
Maximum 30 years
Candidates belonging to OBC gets 3 years and SC/ST gets 5 years age relaxations

ATTEMPTS- General candidates- 4 times
OBC- 7 times
SC/ST- No such restriction

Scheme of examination:
PRELIMINARY EXAMS
PAPER 1- Current events, History of India,Indian National Movement, India and World Geography, Indian polity and governance
General science, Economic and social development,General issues on environmental

PAPER 2- Comprehension, Basic numeracy, General mental Ability,Logical Reasoning, English Language Comprehension

IAS - Indian Administrative Service, to become an IAS officer one has to apply, appear and crack Civil Service Exam conducted by UPSC every year.

The eligible candidate aspiring for IAS, must be an Indian National having either appear for the final Graduation Degree exam or pass in any stream from a recognised University within the age of 21 to 30 years.

The selection is through thrr stages:-

CSAT - Civil Service Aptitude Test - Preliminary Exam

Civil Service Main Exam

Personal Interview

As your going to complete B.Tch. in ECE, you can apply for Civil Service Exam.

Eligibility Criteria For IAS Examination:-

HELLO DEAR

Its nice to see that you are aspiring to become an IAS officer.

IAS is commonly known as Indian Administrative Services.
To become an IAs officer you need to clear UPSC Civil Services Examination.

You can sit for the exam provided you follow the eligibility norms:

** You must have completed your graduation in any stream.

** Final year candidates may also apply.

** Your age should be between 21 to 30 years.

There is age relaxation given for reserved categories.
SC/ST- 5 yrs
OBC- 3 yrs
PH- 10 yrs

Number of attempts:

4 in case of general
7 in case of OBC &
unlimited in case of SC/ST till they attain the age of 35 years.

There are 3 stages of examination:
Preliminary
Mains
Interview

According to latest pattern Preliminary exam is known as CSAT.

You have 2 papers in this:
General awareness
Aptitude test

If you fulfill these requirements you can fil the aplication form. Civil services exam is held every year.

yes , you are eligible for apply IAS Exam after B.Tech ECE because it is a one of the Graduation Course

IAS Stands Indian Administrative Service

Dear Aspirant,

For your Great goal.First you have to appear for the Groups Civil Exams.Which is conducted all over the india.

Based on the All in india rank and score the student will go to the further levels.

Levels in the Civils Exam:

1.Preliminary Exam.Also Called as Prelims

Syllabus and Pattern:

It is Choose the Correct option pattern.Four or more options will be given to the question.

PAPER 1:
  • Current events
  • History of India
  • Indian National Movement
  • India and World Geography
  • Indian polity and governance
  • General science
  • Economic and social development
  • General issues on environmental

PAPER 2:
  • Comprehension
  • Basic numeracy
  • General mental Ability
  • Logical Reasoning
  • English Language Comprehension


2.Main Exam-

After qualifying for the end level.He/she must select atleast any 1 language(Indian Language) which they are comfortable.They have to write the exam in that language in the 2nd level.

They have to select any Subject which are available in this exam.i.e CIVILs

For Example:Public Administration is the subject mainly choosen by most of the students.

Or History and many more subjects are available.According to the students they select their subjects in the Mains.


3.Interview:

The interview goes on the whole life of your education.Simple but challenging interview and tricky one.Most of the students fails to clear this round.

Common sense with a good IQ and a deep survey on main particulars are needed to clear this round.

If you are cleared through this round.Now you can work as any service available in India.Like IAS,IPS and ETC.

Age Criteria: Minimum 21 Years
Degree: Any UG

Maximum Attempts for writing Exams:
  • 4 Times for the OC Caste
  • 7 Times for the OBC
  • No Restriction for SC & ST

please go to see the union public service commision in the internet and prepare the main core subjects in ece branch and good in speaking,writing,reading in English,and download the previous papers from upsc service.k.
