>> Introduction :
Graduate Aptitude Test or GATE is an entrance exam conducted annually for admissions to various science and technology post-graduate programs in India.

>> Examination :
GATE exam consists of a single paper with 3 hours duration containing a total of 65 questions with a maximum of 100 marks. All question multiple choice type containing four options for every answers. Out of 65, 55 questions are from the candidate's chosen specialization or branch and 10 questions are of general aptitude.

>> Eligibility Criteria :
1. Bachelor degree in Engineering/Technology/Architecture (4 years after 10+2) and those who are in final year of such programmes.
2. Master degree holder in any branch of science/mathematics/statistics/computer applications or equivalent and those who are in final year or pre-final year of such programmes.
3. Candidates in the second or in higher year of the four-year integrated master's degree programme in engineering/technology or in third or higher year of five-year integrated master's degree programme.
4. Candidates who qualified in the examination conducted by professional socities recognized by UPSC, AICTE, AMICE or any other.
