]--The AFCAT is carried out every year and is controlled by the IAF. In 2011 the exam will held on March 27 at designated test centers. --The AFCAT is a 2 hour long exam which will have objective type question. --Each of these objective questions will be provided with 4 options as answers. --The candidate must select the correct one from the given option. --The Syllabus of AFCAT exam will test students in the areas like Reasoning, Numerical and verbal ability. Other than these students will also be tested in General awareness and Knowledge. --The number of question will be 100 or more. --For preparing for the AFCAT candidates must prepare by solving previous years question papers and also must refer to books and guides indented for this exam. Students can also refer to other competitive exams like Bank PO, LIC, NICL etc. In short: 1. Reasoning 2. Numerical ability 3. Verbal ability (English) 4. General Awareness, GK 5. For preparing for the AFCAT exam candidates must prepare
by solving previous years question papers.They must refer to books and guides related for this exam.Students can also refer to other competitive exams like Bank PO, LIC, NICL etc.You can make it through,prepare well for the exam.The syllabus pattern is as same as Bank entrance exam and MBA entrance exam. |

there are various branch where you can apply,
you can apply for any branch, depending upon your educational qualification for that brach, You can find the details advertisement also in their site http://careerairforce.nic.in/applicaton_forms/Unified%20Selection%20System/Men.htm Let me tell you that in Air Force Common Admission Test they have 3 types of branches where they look for new recruits, 1) Flying Branch For this your age should be 19 to 23 years, and you should have three years degree course in any discipline from a recognized university with 60% marks Also note that you should have some physical standards as well like your minimum height shall be 162.5 cms with correlated weight and leg length in the range of 99 cms (minimum) 2) Technical Branch For this your age should be in between 18 to 28 years, and you should have a four year degree with minimum 60% marks, they need two specific type of engineers for this
3) Now for Ground Duty they have four separate branches,

AFCAT EXAM MARKS INFORMATION The total time allotted for the paper is two hours. -> AFCAT exam will have 100 questions. -> All questions will be of three marks each. -> For every correct answer the candidate will get three marks. -> For every wrong answer one mark will be deducted under negative marking.
