]--The AFCAT is carried out every year and is controlled by the IAF. In 2011 the exam is held on March 27 in designated test centers.
--The AFCAT is a 2 hour long exam which will have objective type question. --Each of these objective questions will be provided with 4 options as answers.
--The candidate must select the correct one from the given option.
--The Syllabus of AFCAT exam will test students in
the areas like Reasoning, Numerical and verbal
ability. Other than these students will also be
tested in General awareness and Knowledge.
--The number of question will be 100 or more.
--For preparing for the AFCAT candidates must prepare
by solving previous years question papers and also
must refer to books and guides indented for this
exam. Students can also refer to other competitive exams like Bank PO, LIC, NICL etc.

You need to be prepared for an objective type paper. There will be a total of over 100 questions. You need to answer as many questions in a period of 120 minutes. You need to prepare in areas like General Knowledge, Reasoning and Quantitative ability. It is important to solve the previous year papers to understand the structure of the exam.

1. Reasoning
2. Numerical ability
3. Verbal ability (English)
4. General Awareness, GK
5. General Aptitude
You can also refer to other competitive exams like Bank PO, LIC, NICL etc.You can make it through,prepare well for the exam.

AFCAT i.e Air Force Common Syllabus

Eligibility

Its a common Entrance test for Flying Branch, Technical Branch, Ground Duty officer

You need to be 60% aggregate in all your Years in graduation.(More Details See the Notification)

Syllabus:-

Syllabus Consists of Reasoning, Verbal ability, General Awareness , Numerical ability & General Aptitude. Exam will be of 2 hrs Duration with Objective questions.

For preparations:-

Books you should refer R S Agarwal quantitative aptitude, For Gk. Go for manorama, Composition success Review magazine. General Awareness Go Books for IAS.

Even i have Attached some Papers you have look on it.

Note:- Last date to fill AFCAT form was 22nd February, AND exam Date is on 27 April 2011(Sunday).

You should go through all those topics to get a good score in that exam.

The AFCAT or the Air Force Common Admission Test is scheduled for 27th March 2011.

The exam will contain question from the following topics:

1.General Awareness
2.Verbal Ability in English
3.Numerical Ability
4.Reasoning and Military Aptitude test.

There will be 100 question you have to attempt.

You will be awarded 3 points for a right answer.
1 point will be deducted for wrong answers.

So dont attempt a question if you are not sure of the answer.

AFCAT syllabus generally include Reasoning, Verbal ability, General Awareness , Numerical ability & General Aptitude


You should have a good command over them because the exam consist of objective question with a span of 2 hours only

And you have to smartly answer all those question because every question consists of 3 marks and your one mark will be deducted for 1 negative answer

AFCAT- Air Force Common Admission Test

AFCAT question paper will have 100 question. All question will be three marks each. For every correct answer the candidate will get three marks
and for every wrong answer one marks will be deducted under negative
marking. the total time allotted for the paper is 2 hours.
