In order to join Indian Airforce you have to qualify the AFCAT exam.
The syllabus for AFCAT exam are;

1. Reasoning
2. Numerical ability
3. Verbal ability (English)
4. General Awareness, GK
5. General Aptitude

I've attached some files containing previous year question papers for your betterment.

AFCAT : The syllabus of AFCAT exam is basically is of secondary school examination and hence will test students in the areas mentioned below.
The entrance test will be of two hours duration and will contain multiple choice questions on :
•verbal ability,
•numerical ability,
•reasoning,
•general awareness and
•aptitude.

Introduction :-

Its a common Entrance test for Flying Branch, Technical Branch, Ground Duty officer
You need to be 60% aggregate in all your Years in graduation.(More Details See the Notification)

Syllabus:-

Syllabus Consists of Reasoning, Verbal ability, General Awareness , Numerical ability & General Aptitude. Exam will be of 2 hrs Duration with Objective questions.

For preparations:-

Books you should refer R S Agarwal quantitative aptitude, For Gk. Go for manorama, Composition success Review magazine. General Awareness Go Books for IAS.

Papers:-

Previous year Papers are not available on net so It is better to go with syllabus and recommended books.

Note:- Last date to fill AFCAT form was 22nd February, AND exam Date is on 27 April 2011(Sunday).

AFCAT is preliminary examination conducted for the selection
of candidates in the various branches of Indian Air force as
an officer.

FLYING BRANCH
GROUND DUTY BRANCH
TECHNICAL BRANCH

Syllabus
In the AFCAT examination following topics are asked
(a) General Awareness
(b) Verbal Ability in English
(c) Numerical Ability
(d) Reasoning and Military Aptitude Test

The paper is of 100 marks and candidate will get 3 marks for
correct answer and 1 mark is deducted for incorrect answer.

AFCAT test consists of 100 questions to be answered in 2 hours. Each question weighs 3 marks. Thus AFCAT is a 300 mark test. The four test sections of AFCAT is as below:

4. Test of Reasoning and Military Aptitude Test.
