Hello sir, I used to smoke cigarette per day and now I am selected for Merchant Navy. Please tell me is there any difficulty for me in Medical test? How does it affect medical test?

You already know that smoking cigarette is injuries for health.
> In merchant navy medical test, your condition of lungs will be tested .
> Your Bronchitis in lungs must be in good condition.
> Many times due to smoking it effects the blood vessels in body which can also result in rejection in Merchant navy.

You can be declared unfit if:
> You are in any positive stage of cancer .
> If your blood pressure exceeds 150 mm of Hg or Diastolic above 90 mm
> Candidate having any respiratory tract disease can be rejected.
> Candidate not having eye side of 6/6 normal in each can be rejected.
