my age is 19 and i want to join merchant navy but i smoke.Is there any problem during medical test if i smoke?

Definitely you are facing a problem if you smoke at such an early age.Medical test means that the candidate is physically fit & its a basic need also for the Merchant Navy.So really want to go then try to leave this habit.

Maybe as smoking directly affects your health.

Even if they pass you, I would recommend you to quit smoking as soon as possible. As it will clearly affect your health and your career too. If you want a long lasting career then you MUST quite smoking and you are just 19 years so think about it you have more than 3 times of life with you

However I would advice you not to smoke before going for the medical test

if you are a regular smoker then surely you will face problem and can be eliminated in physical fitness test. but in other case if passed then i will strongly recommend you to leave smoking.

there is no relationship with navy and your habit of smoking
the main thing is that you should be medically fit and no need not to worry about medical test it is not so tough for good in medical and physical please have morning walk and evening walk

medical test in navy have nothing to do with your habit of smoking
just have some exercise in the morning in this manner you will be physically fit also

There is no such rule prescribed that smokers cannot join Merchant navy.
If you clear their medical test, then you can join Merchant navy.

If you continue smoking you are definitely going to fail the Merchant Navy medical test.You must quit smoking for few months before appearing for the test and medical .

Medically fit : SMOKING both these are contrary to each other...even though in merchant navy you pass the medical test...Smoking is a habit that is very injurious to health..And smoking from such an early age is an offence...

you are not eligible for merchant navy if you are do smoking because according to navy rules you have not any bad habits.
