Maths is not a compulsory subject to apply for genetic engineering after (10+2).

Genetic Engineering Eligibility
- You must have passed (10+2) in science stream with physics, chemistry and biology/maths as a main subjects.
- You are required to appear entrance exam JEE Main or state level entrance.

To take admission in genetic engineering at graduate level you need to pass 10+2 with Biology, Chemistry and Mathematics as well as genetics engineering.
