Tamil Nadu is the only state government which till now used to take admission of candidates into MBBS and BDS course on basis of percentage of marks secured in 10+2 board exams. From 2017, even Tamil Nadu will also take admission on basis of National Eligibility cum Entrance Test rank card.

There is no special cut off for Central board of Secondary Education candidates. Admission is totally done on basis of marks secured in board exams. If you manage to secure 460 marks out of 500 that is 92% marks in 10+2, you will definitely have good chance of getting admission in MBBS course in good government college of Tamil Nadu State government.
