Re: Tips to prepare for CAT exam?
Tips to prepare perfectly for CAT exam is
if you are a bachelor student of Commerce then coaching is not that necessary if not then there may be coaching required Preparation should be done very smartly with a lot of dedicated hardwork your preparation must be interfaced with your syllabus or the syllabus areas The syllabus of MBA include many soft skills areas like Aptitude Quantitative aptitude Logical Reasoning Critical Reasoning Reading Comprehension Assessing data Data Interpretation Data Sufficiency these are the areas on which the CAT will test the applicant not only CAT all the entrances like MAT XAT and many more will be same but some of the exams like FMS and IMRA will test you the real time Managing abilities anyways this is not the case with CAT for this you have to concentrate on above areas and the syllabus for the above areas will be very simple for example I'll discuss one i.e., Quantitative Aptitude for this all you will have is the High School Mathematics and lower than that the syllabus will be simple but the Capability of answering the question within time will decide your place in the entrance exams In this way you have to prepare and attempt for the most competitive exam like CAT Regards ~AdityA~ |

Re: Tips to prepare for CAT exam?
CAT exam is not tough but very competetive.
It does not matter how well you score individually. What matters is how well you do relative to others performance. A lot of practice is required to attain speed Moreover, right selection of questions is very essential. Many a times CAT papaer has some question which takes a lot of time to solve. If you attempt these questions, your overall attempt goes down which reduces your chances of success Before solving, always take a glance through the paper, to identify which section is scoring, accordingly divide your time. Keep a record of previous year sectional cutoffs and scores so as to plan the number of questions to be attempted. Practice and assess your accuracy in terms of percentage. For example if your average accuracy is 70%, you have an idea that if you attempt 10 questions, 7 would be right. Accordingly attempts questions Aim to score in one section and clear cutoffs in others. Scoring in all 3 sections is not possible. Hope this helps you. Do let me know for any specific query.
