To get good marks in any competitive exam important thing is whether you are surely prepared for the exam.NCERT should be thoroughly revised to get good grades self study should be preffered rather than class room teaching Depth of each and every topic should be understood only them a person can crack a competitive exam

i have appear 12th in 2011 percentage 61% but my chemistry subject is only 48 marks and i was not qualified in jee 2011 can i appear jee 2012

The tips that I may give you are:
*Thorough your NCERT books.
*Clear all your doubts before exams.
*Maintain a separate note book for important formulas and concepts.
*Do approach your teacher for any weaker section of yours.
*Make a habit of solving at least 50 questions of each subject everyday.
*Do solve previous year questions papers within the time frame.
*Do not take up new chapters when exams are approaching.

You may find it difficult to crack AIEEE if you do not join any coaching institutes.But if you are a hard working child then it is not necssary at all to join any coaching institutes.

Here are some simple ways to crack AIEEE by self study:
1)Thoroughly read your NCERT books.
2)Solve each and every questions of it.
3)Beside this solve extra questions from a good objective book and don't forget to solve previous year's papers.
4)Work on your weaknesses.
5)Analyze your mistakes.
6)Try to Solve questions 10-15 minutes before the time frame.

BITSAT stands for "Birla Institute of Technology and Science (BITS)" Pilani.

To score maximum you should follow the following basic steps:
1)You should be thorough with basic concepts and formulaes
2)Don’t get stuck at one question. If you are getting confused and are unable to find the right answer, skip the question
3)Since the test is computer based, you should have at least a working knowledge of the same
4)You are not allowed to use a calculator for solving mathematical questions. It is, thus, important to brush up on your calculation skills
5)It is essential to cover only the prescribed syllabus. More the time you spend on studying outside the syllabus, the more time you may be wasting on questions that might not even be included in the final BITSAT

Dear student,
First of all to crack any entrance exams you have to be clear with your concepts.If it is done then follow these basic rules.:

1)As there is a negative marking of 1 marks for every incorrect answer, try to avoid wild guessing. However, a calculated guess will not do too much harm. Remove the option which is least likely to be correct. Guessing from 3 options would obviously reduce the risk factor a great deal
2)Reference books should provide you with a wide variety of multiply choice questions, covering the entire syllabus
3)Time management can help you succeed in BITSAT. Allocate a specific time to every section and try to complete the section within that time frame
4)You should be thorough with basic concepts and formulaes

for a good rank in competitive exams...the first thing is you need to be dedicated...
never underestimate yourself...
work in groups..your aim is not to get good rank in the coaching institute..but in jee..
follow one book religiously...though you may take help from other books for a particular topic or two....i'll name the books which are self sufficient in themselves...
do not forget to do ncert...infact for chemisty, ncert is to be done more than once...espacially for inorganic and organic...

books that should be followed:
maths:
ml khanna/a das gupta(subjective in both) + ncert.
physics:hc verma
chemistry bahadur(physical and inorganic)
solomons/morrison and boyd + ncert..


make your concepts clear..and practise as much as you can...

nothing is impossible...
