This exam is conducted for the purpose of filling in suitable candidates in various Government posts in Tamil Nadu. The group I exam is mostly for senior level eg. Deputy or District Collector, Deputy Registrar etc. You will be tested in various areas like History, Geography, Politics, General Science. Also part of the questions will be from the General Knowledge area. You also must prepare for the Quantitative Ability, Computer Basics, Logical Reasoning. Make sure to be updated with all the latest news. You could also purchase some books related to current affairs and General Knowledge. Do give importance to Tamil language and culture as there will around 20% questions in this area. Make sure to cover all the areas required for the test. Solve as many papers as possible.

TNPSC Stands for Tamil Nadu Public Service Commission and this examination is conducted by Tamil Nadu Government every years and they conducted plenty of examination in a year . TNPSC Group I examination is conducted for recruitment of Deputy Collector , Deputy Superintendent , Assistant Commissioner , District Register , District Employment Officer .

Minimum Essential Education Qualification ::

The candidate must have possess graduate degree in any discipline from a recognized University or equivalent qualification and candidate who are pursing in the final year of degree course may also eligible to apply for this examination . The candidate should be completed their degree course in the order of 10th exam , Intermediate and Graduate degree .

Age limits ::

Age limits is vary from according to the selection of post and the age limits is vary from post to post . The candidate must have a minimum age limits is 21 years and maximum age limits is 30 years and Upper age limits is applicable .

Pattern of this examination ::

-Preliminary Examination
-Main Examination
-Personal Interview

The candidate who are applying the post of Superintendent of Police must be physical and mentally fit and the candidate need to satisfy the following physical qualification ::

For Men:

Height :: 165 Cms.
Chest measurement :: 86 Cms
Chest expansion :: 5 Cms on full inspiration.

For Women:

Height :: 155 Cms.
Chest measurement :: Not applicable .
