INSTITUTE OF BANKING PERSONAL SELECTION(IBPS) conducts examination for Bank P.O.(Probationary Officer) and Clerical job for 19 Public Sector Banks from time to time as per their requirement.

Eligibility Criteria for IBPS Bank Clerical Exam:-

-The candidate must be an Indian National
-Should have completed 10th with 60% marks OR have completed 12th with 50% marks or have completed Graduation in any stream from a recognised University.
-Should be within the age of 18 to 28 years with upper age relaxation for SC/ST candidate up to 5 years and up to 3 years for OBC candidate.
-Should be a computer literate one.

Eligibility Criteria for IBPS bank P.O. exam:-

-The candidate must be an Indian Citizen.
-Should have completed Graduation in any stream from a recognised University
-Should be within the age of 21 to 30 years with upper age relaxation for SC/ST candidate up to 5 years and for OBC candidate up to 3 years.

Age requirement for bank P.O and clerical positions are different. For clerical post lower age limit is 18 years. Those candidates above 28 years are not eligible to apply. In case of bank P.O, the age of the candidate must be between 21-30 years. Reserved category candidates can enjoy relaxation in age.

Well for the different ibps exams their is different qualification but normally for the ibps exam the qualification is now same almost for the ibps bank po exams as well as for the clerk exam because recently their is change in the qualifications from the IBPS Department so now qualifications are almost same for both clerk as well as for Bank po.

IBPS is conducting exams for many posts from clerk to the po level and than conducting exams for the specialist officer post too and conducting all these exams according to their scheduled.

For the Bank clerk exam the Minimum age limit is 20 years for all categories from general to the sc,st and obc and maximum age limit is 30 years for general and age relaxation for others as per government rules.

On the other hand the age limit for the bank po is just little bit different as the minimum age required for the Bank po is 21 years and the maximum is 30 years.

But the educational qualifications for both of these ibps exams are same as just required a graduate degree for the ibps clerk as well as for the Bank po exam.

And for both exams their is no restriction on the number of attempts means the candidates can write both of the exams as many times they want to write.
