how much age limit is reqaeared for joinig the indian army

Dear friend the two way to join Indian Army-

NDA and CDS.

NDA stands for National Defence Academy.This exam is conducted by UPSC twice in a
year for three wings- Army ,Air Force and Navy.


Eligibility criteria for Army wing:-

Candidate should be an Indian citizen.

Candidate must have to pass 12th in any stream for a recognized Board.

12th class appearing students can also apply for the exam.

Only unmarried male candidates are eligible for this exam.


Age limit:-

Age limit should be between 16.5 to 19 yrs.

There is no age relaxation in this exam.




CDS:-

CDS stands for Combined Defence Services.This exam is alos conducted by UPSC twice
in a year.

Eligiblity criteria for CDS exam:-

Candidate must be completed Graduation degree for a recognized University.


Age limit:-

Age limit must be between 19 to 25 yrs.

Selection procedure for both these exams:-

Written Exam

Interviwe

Medical Fitness Test
