Its great opportunity to you to serve for your own country,if you have the caliber you must join the Indian Army.
As you have not yet completed your graduation level,you have to complete it ,then you can apply for then you can get chance to take admission in Indian Army. There are some selection procedure such as: Combined Defense Services (CDS) Exam is generally conducted twice a year by the Union Public Service Commission(UPSC) to recuirt the Indian Military Academy(IMA), Officers Training Academy(OTA), Naval Academy and Air Force Academy(AFA) According to the Eligibility Criteria: i)For IMA and OTA you must have any degree from any recognized University. ii)For Naval Academy you should have B.Sc in Physics or Mathematics or Bachelor of Engineering(BE). iii)For (AFA) you should have the degree of recognized University with Physics and Mathematics at 10+2 level or Bachelor of Engineering(BE) Age Limit: i)For IMA:19-24 Years ii)For OTA:19-23 Years iii)For Naval Academy:19-22 Years iv)For AFA :19-25 Years They select the students through the i) Written Test ii)Intelligence & Personality test iii)Medical test. Exam Pattern i) Written Test for IMA / Naval Academy / AFA All the three papers are of objective type containing the English General Knowledge Elementary Mathematics total 300 marks,each paper 100 marks. for OTA All the two papers are of objective type containing the English General Knowledge total 200 marks,each paper of 100 marks. ii)Intelligence & Personality test :Generally here checks the Personality of the candidate,GD,group planning, physical fitness test, interview, small lectures on general issues & psychological tests. etc... iii)Medical test. After getting selected in interview ,the candidates are called for medical examination which is conducted by Military Hospitals. Pre-Commission training After getting final selected the candidates are called for Training. |

Sir is there any age relaxation in the Indian army for person who belong to OBC, sir i am very much interested in joining the Indian army, due to some financial problem i could not complete my studies on time, now i am about to complete my engineering degree, sir soon after i complete my degree my age will be 27yrs. sir will i still be eligible?

Eligibility: Men with 10+2/ Intermediate, graduates and engineering graduates as officers Recruitment of Commissioned Officers in the Armed Forces is mainly through the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC). Nationality : A candidate must either be : a citizen of India or a subject of Nepal or a subject of Bhutan or Height & Weight for Indian Army : The minimum acceptable height and weight is 157.5cms with correlated weight In case of candidates belonging (to the North East and hilly areas like Gorkhas, Nepalese. Assamese and Garhwalis the height will be relaxed by 5cms and weight commensurate with reduced height. Indian Army Visual Standards : The minimum acceptable visual acuity are : Distant vision ( corrected ) better eye 6 / 6. worse 6 / 18. Myopia of not more than minus 3.5 including Astigmation. |

If you are interested in Indian Army Then you will have to appear for NDA exam conducted by UPSC twice in every year NDA criteria : 1.You must complete 12th standard examination. 2.Your age must be within 16.5 to 19 years. 3.You must be an Indian. 4.Your height must be minimum 165 cm. 5.You should not have no color blindness and must have eyesight of 6/6. To join in Indian Army you have to appear in CDS exam. Eligibility for CDS exam:- For Indian Military Academy:- 1.Candidate must have complete the graduation in any trade.. 2.Candidate must be a citizen of India. 3.Candidates age should be in between 19-24 years. 4.Candidate must be physically fit.. 5.Candidate must be unmarried... If you want join in Indian Army through NDA, CDA and UES.These Exams are conducted by UPSC (Union Public Service Commission).
To apply this examinations the candidate must have to complete 12th or graduation from a recognized university. National Defense Academy (NDA): Education Qualification: 12th pass from a recognized university. Age Limit: - 16.5 to 19 years. Indian Army can be joined through two ways:-
Through NDA and CDS NDA- NATIONAL DEFENCE ACDEMY exam conducted by UPSC twice every year as NDA-I and NDA-II for entry in to three wings of NDA i.e. Indian Army, Navy and Air Force. To join Indian Army the candidate must be an unmarried Indian male within the age of 16.5 to 19 years of age having either appeared for final 12th exam or passed from any stream with good physical fitness. CDS- COMBINED DEFENCE SERVICE exam conducted by UPSC two times every year for entry into Indian Military Academy, Naval Academy, Air Force Academy and Ofiicer's Training Academy of CDS. The eligible canddate must be an unmarried Indian within the age of 19 to 24 years having either appeared for final graduation degree exam or passed from any stream and from a recognised University with certain physical fitness can apply for Indian Military Academy. If you wish to join the Indian Army, then you have 3 options by which you can do so. 1. NDA - National Defense Academy This is exam which is conducted by the UPSC (Union Public Service Commission) every year to select candidates who have just given their 12th boards, or by NDA 2 for the candidates who have got their 12th board results. Minimum criteria for this is, you should be a 12th pass from a recognized university and the Age Limit for this varies from 16.5 to 19 years. 2. CDS - Combined Defense Service This is an exam which is again conducted by the UPSC to select Class 1 officers every year in the Indian Army, Navy or Air Force. Its conducted twice every year in February and September. Minimum criteria for this is you should be a graduate in any stream from a recognized college or University and the Age Limit in this varies between 19 to 24 years. 3. UES - University Entry Scheme This is a scheme to give direct entry to the candidates in the wings of the Indian defense right from their University like a Campus Placement. The minimum qualifications needed for this is you should be a graduate from a recognized college or University. Final year students may apply. Age Limit varies from 18 to 25 years. The Minimum age limit for joining Indian Army is 16.5 years and the minimum educational qualification required is at least 12th std. After finishing 12th std you can appear for NDA exam conducted by UPSC and join in Army by clearing this exam. The age limit for NDA exam is 16.5 to 19 years. If your age is above 19 years and you have finished your graduation you can join in Indian Army by clearing an exam named CDS exam conducted by UPSC. The age limit for this exam is 19years to 23years.

commerce background are eligible for I.M.A. and Officers’ Training Academy post and to apply for this, you must have a bachelor degree from a recognized university. And for this post Only unmarried male candidates between 19-24 years are eligible and for OTA, your age should between 19 to 25 years, The UPSC conducts the CDS examination twice in a year. No percentage considered in case candidate has passed higher qualification ie 10+2 and above. 17 ˝ - 21 Yrs (2) Soldier (Technical) (Technical Arms, Artillery, Army Air Defence) 10+2 / Intermediate Exam Pass in Science with Physics, Chemistry, Maths and English with 50% marks in aggregate and 40% in each subject. (simple pass in 10+2 with requisite subjects is acceptable upto 31 Mar 2013). 17 ˝ - 23 Yrs (3) Soldier Clerk / Store Keeper Technical (All Arms) 10+2 / Intermediate Exam pass in any stream (Arts, Commerce, Science) with 50% marks in aggregate and minimum 40% in each subject. Should have studied and passed English and Maths/Accts/Book Keeping in Cl X or Cl XII with 40% marks in each subject. In case of graduate with Maths and English as subject in BSc, the stipulation of 40% in Cl X or Cl XII is waived off. I HAVE DONE MY ENGINEERING AFTER DIPLOMA,SO I GOT ADMISSION IN SECOND YEAR OF ENGINEERING.BUT WHILE FEELING THE ACADMIC MARKS IN TGC ONLINE FORM, THEY WANT 1ST SEM AND 2ND SEM MARKS ,BUT AS I GOT ADMISSION IN DIRECT SECOND YEAR ,HOW I FEEL 1ST SEM AND 2ND SEM MARKS?PLEASE TELL ME WHAT I DO?

Eligibility Criteria: i)For IMA and OTA you must have any degree from any recognized University. ii)For Naval Academy you should have B.Sc in Physics or Mathematics or Bachelor of Engineering(BE). iii)For (AFA) you should have the degree of recognized University with Physics and Mathematics at 10+2 level or Bachelor of Engineering(BE) And Indian Army 10+2 Technical Entry Scheme Course - Qualification : 10+2 (PCM) with 70% marks. Age Limit: i)For IMA:19-24 Years ii)For OTA:19-23 Years iii)For Naval Academy:19-22 Years After graduation you can apply for the CDS exam carried out by UPSC. CDS (COMMON DEFENSE SERVICES):-If you have done graduation then you can apply for CDS exam CDS exam is carried out by UPSC twice a year. the qualification required for CDS is graduation from recognized university. your age should be in between 19 to 25 years. Minimum height for male candidate needed for women candidate is 152 cmand for male is 157cm. candidate should be the citizen of India. You should be medically and physically fit. IMPORTANT DATES REGARDING CDS EXAM:- Last date for receipt of applications :- Monday, August 27, 2012. CDS entrance exam will be conducted on:- Sunday, September 16, 2012. CDS is the Common Defense Services examination which is conducted by the UPSC board and through the CDS examination you can enter in to different defense services like Indian Air force Indian Navy OTA Indian Military There are different kinds of eligibility criteria which are required in order to appear for the examination and for entering in to the Indian Military through CDS you must have at least completed the Degree course of study in any of the discipline from any of the recognized institute of study. |

If you have completed 12th then you can apply for Indian Army through NDA examination.
Eligibility Criteria:- 12th passed. Age limit:- 16.5 to 19 years. Physical Standard:- Height should be 165 cm. Eyesight should be 6/6 . If you have a graduate passed student then you can apply through CDS examination. Eligibility Criteria:- Graduation passed. Age limit:- 19 to 25 years. Marital status:- Unmarried Male or female candidates. Physical standard:- Must be physically fit. |
