now i am 17 yours old so i am eligible for the exam...please tell me what is it

NDA(National Defence Academy ) -UPSC Conducts this Exam twice in a year. This Exam is for the recruit the candidate in Indian Army like Air-force, navy and other wings of Army.

You must satisfy the following eligibility criteria to get through this exam :
1. Your Age must be 16.5 to 19 Years old to write the NDA Exam.
2. You must be unmarried to write the NDA Exam.
3.You must have 60% in PCM to write the NDA Exam.
4.You Must be Indian to write the NDA Exam.


Physical standards :
You should be both physically and mentally fit satisfying all the below physical standards.
You must be physically and mentally fir to write the NDA Exam.
Your Eye- Sight Should be 6/6.
Your Height Should be minimum 167cm

To join in defence you need to write the entrance exam for it and NDA is one of the entrance exam which you can write in order to join in defence forces of India.

The defence force of India includes such as:

> Indian Army
> Indian Navy
> Indian Air Force

To tell about the NDA exam it is one of the exam conducted by UPSC and is held every year as NDA I and NDA II.

For appearing for this exam there are certain standards which you need to possess and regarding them as you have asked for the age limits it is that the candidate who is wishing to apply for the NDA exam must have 16 1/2-19 years i.e the candidate must have born after 2nd July 1993 and not later than 1st January 1996.

You should also satisfy the other criteria's for the exam in order to apply for the exam.

The other criteria's may include such as that you need to be a citizen of India.

Only unmarried male candidates are eligible for the exam.

Education qualification for the exam is that the candidate must have completed +2 for joining in Indian Army

For joining in Indian Navy and Air Force you need to have completed with physics and maths as subjects with a fair percentage.

You need to be physically fit while appearing for the NDA exam as it is very important.

Age Limits, Sex and Marital Status :

A candidate must be an unmarried male and have attained the age of 16 1/2 years and must not have attained the age 19 years on the 1st January or 1st of July of the year succeeding the year of examination.
Candidates must not marry until they complete their full training. A candidate who marries subsequent to the date of his application, though successful will not be selected for training.
A candidate who marries during training shall be discharged and will be liable to refund all expenditure incurred on him by the Government.

Educational Qualifications :
For Army wing of National Defence Academy :- 12th Class pass of the 10+2 pattern of School Education or equivalent examination conducted by a State Education Board or a University.


For Air Force and Naval Wings of National Defence Academy and for the 10+2 (Executive Branch) Course at the Naval Academy :- 12th Class pass of the 10+2 pattern of School Education or equilvalent with Physics and Mathematics conducted by a State Education Board or a University.
Candidates who are appearing in the 12th Class under the 10+2 pattern of School Education or equivalent examination can also apply.

Physical Standards :

A candidate recommended by the Services Selection Board will undergo a medical examination by a Board of Service Medical Officers. Only those candidates will be admitted to the academy who are declared fit by the Medical Board. The proceedings of the Medical Board are confidential and will not be divulged to anyone. However the candidates declared unfit will be intimated by the President of the Medical Board and the procedure for request for an Appeal Medical Board will also be intimated to the candidate.

Candidates declared unfit during Appeal Medical Board will be intimated about the provision of Review Medical Board.

(a) The candidate must be in good physical and mental health and free from any disease/disability which is likely in interfere with the efficient performance of military duties.

(b) There should be no evidence of weak constitution, bodily defects or under weight. The candidate should not be overweight or obese.

(c) The minimum acceptable height is 157.5 cms. (162.5 cms for Air Force) F

Oh shore you are eligible for NDA(National Defence Service) exam and this exam is conducted by the UPSC(Union Public Service Commission) 2 times in a hole year.

NDA has three wings:-

1. Indian army,

2. Indian navy,

3. Indian airforce.

Age criteria:-
The age limits for navy, airforce and army is same as per NDA rules.

The age limits is 16.5years to 19 years, there is no upper age relaxaton for reservation candidates.

Educational qualification:-

The candidate should be complete +2 from a recognised board.

12th standard exams appearing candidates may also eligible.

For navy and airforce the candidates must have PCM subjects in 12th standard.

There is no percentage restrictions to appear this exam.

Nationality:-

hello!!

you being 17 year old are eligible for many exams.one such exam is NDA Exam which is conducted by UPSC Twice every year.By giving this exam one can get admission in the three defense forces of India namely

• Indian ARMY
• Indian NAVY
• Indian Airforce

but to get selected you require to crack the entrance test first.there is a selection process to select candidates for NDA:

~~Written test
~~interview/SSB
~~medical test

on failing medical you wont be eligible to join the defense forces.however the eligibility criteria is listed below--------

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA

-candidates should have passed or appearing XII class from a recognized board or university.
-candidates having PCM can also apply in all the three branches mentioned above.
-the age required to appear for this between 16.5 to 19 years,including the limiting dates.
-candidates not having PCM can only apply for Indian Millitary Academy and not for navy or airforce.
-only unmarried male candidates can apply.....
-physical fitness is required....

You have not mentioned your branch hence it is up to you for what you are eligible.if you have science stream with out maths or any other stream except PCM then can apply only for Indian Army only

My dear friend i am happy to tell you that your age is well suited for appearing in the NDA exam. The age should be between 16-19 years. The other Mandatory requirements for appearing in the NDA exam are:
1. The appearing candidate must be Indian.
2. He should clear 12th with PCM with good marks.
3. He should be unmarried.
4. Eye sight should be according to the NDA rules.
5. Other mandatory requirements should also be fulfilled.

You are 17th year old so you can appear nda exam.

NDA exam counduct by UPSC two time for three wings of nda --

Airforce,Army,Navy & Navel Academy.

To appear for nda exam aspirant must have passed 12th class with around 55% aggregate from a recognized college with Physics, mathematics, and Chemistry.

Only unmarried male candidate whose age should be between 16.5 years to 19 years are eligible.

There are three wings which you can join after qualifying for NDA:-
1.Army wing.
2.Navy wing.
3.Air force wing.
You should fulfill these criteria to appear in NDA exam:-
