sir,

i got a confusion over the eliibility criterion of nda as it said that candidates who are 16 and a 1/2 to less than 19 can fill up form but i was born on 18-12-1991 and im still not eligible as per the dates given in nda application that is from 02-01-1992 to 02-01-94 , but how could this criterion fit the age limit.

please resolve this problem as soon as possible.

A candidate must be an unmarried male and have attained the age of 16 1/2 years and must not have attained the age 19 years on the 1st January or 1st of July of the year succeeding the year of examination.

at the time of admission in NDA you must have minimum of 16 and 1/2 years and maximum of 19 years,exam will held every year in april and may, so from 02/01/1992 to the exam time you are below the age 19 and from 02/01/1994 to the exam time you are above the age of 16 and 1/2 years , from your date of birth you up to the exam time you are above 19 years, so you are not eligible.

Yes you are not eligible for it.

Age limit is counted such that the candidate should not cross the age of 19 & 1/2 till the date of commencement of course which is 01 july for every year.


Its also depends upon the NDA exam itself,means the candidates who are not eligible for NDA-II are eligible for NDA-I and who are eligible for NDA-I but are not eligible for NDA-II.

For example you are not eligible for NDA-I because you were eligible for NDA-II which was held on august 2009.

Similarly the candidates who were not eligible for NDA-II at that time were eligible for NDA-I which was held in 2008.

you as your date of birth is 18-12-1991 and and the eligible dates given in the notification is that you should be born between 02-01-1992 to 02-01-94.

so you are not eligible due to some days,but dont worry because you will be eligible for next NDA,and you will get this advantage for you last NDA chance.

i think after 12th you can apply for NDA go throgh the eligibility otherwise your form may get rejected

its like for nda 1 the eligibility is :-
dob should not be earlier than 2 jan 1992 and later than 1 july 1994.....

and the eligibility for nda 2 was :-
dob not earlier than 2nd July 1991 and not later than 1st January, 1994 .....

so this must give a clear idea about the eligibility........
you can apply for nda 2 or you could have applied for nda 2 last year...........

The age limit of NDA is 16 1/2 till the date of 1 july.

YOU will not need any NDA certificate

the age limit of nda exam is 16 to 19 year, then the student should eligible for it.

as you might have known from your age calculation that you are not eligible so better apply CDS after graduation ............

sorry you cant apply for it as you have completed 19 1/2 years. the eligibility for it is a candidate should not cross the age limit of 19 1/2 years. for more information regarding this you have a check on the official site of upse that is www.upse.gov.in

i think that you are not eligible as you have attained 19 years of age but the criteria reads as ....A candidate must be an unmarried male and have attained the age of 16 1/2 years and must not have attained the age 19 years on the 1st January or 1st of July of the year in the coming year of the year of examination. so sorry pal but beter luck in CDS hope you make a mark in that.. all the best

My friend for NDA you must have minimum of 16 and 1/2 years and maximum of 19 years.........

candidate applying for nda must be above 16 and below 19 .. according to your date of birth you calculate

It is strictly said on the application form of NDA that A candidate must be an unmarried male and have attained the age of 16 1/2 years and must not have attained the age 19 years on the 1st January or 1st of July of the year succeeding the year of examination.

since they are very strict in rules so if your age is cross only one day as per their requirement.......than you are not eligible for it...

as per my information-A candidate must be an unmarried male and have attained the age of 16 1/2 years and must not have attained the age 19 years on the 1st January or 1st of July of the year succeeding the year of examination.
Candidates must not marry until they complete their full training. A candidate who marries subsequent to the date of his application, though successful will not be selected for training.
A candidate who marries during training shall be discharged and will be liable to refund all expenditure incurred on him by the Government.

iam really sorry to say you that you are not eligible for the nda exam as your age is above 19,and the criteria for the nda exam is that you must be between 16-19 year of age and unmarried............

don't mind regarding the date try to work out the correct age of yourself, that MUST be in between 16 1/2 and 19 years and no more than this is allowed. if you miss the age don't worry you try the same after your degree you can write the NDA examinations to gain the Officer's entry in the same cadre.

Maximum age limit for NDA is 19 years.
Since your age is above 19 years so you are not eligible.

The minimum age is 20 years as taken for nda.
You need to give the various examination to complete.
Eligibility is 12th pass.

You can give NDA till the age of 22.
Then you will be called for ssb.

If your age must be between 16½ to 19 years, then you are eligible.
