Re: What is the age limit to pursue MBA from IIM's?
There is no age criteria at all in order to pursue MBA course from IIMs. The only way to pursue MBA course from IIMs is by cracking CAT (Common Aptitude Test) Exam.
In order to be eligible for this exam, one should have completed Graduation with a minimum of 50% of marks. There is a relaxation in the percentage of marks upto 5% for the candidates of SC/ST category. So, you need to excel in CAT Exam in the sense you need to secure high percentile in CAT Exam. Thereafter you have to give good performance in the group discussion and personal interview too to get admission for MBA course in IIMs. So, have strong preparation for the CAT Exam and crack the exam. For this academic year, the last date to register for CAT Exam was already over. So, this year you can not appear for CAT Exam. If you are really interested to pursue MBA in IIMs, then have good preparation for CAT Exam for this one year -by joining in good coaching institute -by having practice of various mock tests and model question papers -by spending most of the time in a day to study CAT syllabus. For updated information on CAT Exam, you can visit http://www.catiim.in/ |

Re: What is the age limit to pursue MBA from IIM's?
No age limit is there to purse MBA from IIM for which one has to appear for CAT(COMMON APTITUDE TEST) and succeed the same.
For CAT exam one should be a graduate with minimum 50% marks from any discipline, a 5% relaxation in marks is there for SC/ST candidate. So one has to achieve good percentage of marks in CAT exam in order to purse his study of MBA in IIM followed by good performance in Group Discussion and interview. So have a strong preparation for at least one year before sitting in CAT exam by going to any good coaching institute, by taking part in various mock test and model question paper and strictly abide by the syllabus of CAT exam. |

Re: What is the age limit to pursue MBA from IIM's?
hi friend,
infact there is no age limit to do mbs in iims what bothers it to get very high percentile in cat exam. cat exam is generally conducted in october and november months of an year.at present it is an online exam.for oc candidates they need to score above 98 percentile. the eligibilty criteria is having above 50 percentage in graduation. for getting into iims you need to work very hard otherwise if you work according to a proper plan you can get it easy.do follow any coaching institute like TIME and practice their material well and follow their guidelines. apart from getting through the written exam you need to attend group discussion and interview processes of different iims.interview is common but group discussion and other processes may vary from one iim to another iim. one needs to have much grip in current affairs and etc.all the best. |

Re: What is the age limit to pursue MBA from IIM's?
Hi friend,
Let me come straight to the point of the discussion. there is no age limit to pursue MBA from IIMs. Anyone who is minimum of 21 years and with graduation from any recognized university of India can take part in IIM MBA education. Not only for IIM ,even for other B-Schools there is no such restriction. If you want to get in to IIMs, you need to write CAT exam and should have better academic record with percentile above 99. It takes atleast 6 months of dedicated prepartion to crack CAT with a good percentile. All The Best Vega Sridhar |

Re: What is the age limit to pursue MBA from IIM's?
Dear sir,
There is no age limit for pursing MBA in IIMs. Getting admission into an IIM is a 3-step process. Each IIM shortlists candidates for second stage of selection which may be independent of each other after CAT. The process may include Written Ability Test (WAT), Group Discussions (GD) and Personal Interviews (PI). Performance in CAT examination is an important component in the admission process. IIMs may use previous academic performance of the candidates, relevant work experience and other similar inputs in short listing and ranking of candidates at various stages of the admission process. The processes, academic cut-offs and the weights allocated to the evaluation parameters may vary across IIMs. For more information you may refer the admissions policies of IIMs from their respective websites ELIGIBILITY FOR CAT The candidate must hold a Bachelor's degree with at least 50% marks or equivalent CGPA (45% in case of the candidates belonging to Scheduled Caste(SC)/ Scheduled Tribe (ST) or Persons with Disability (PWD) category), of any of the Universities incorporated by an act of the central or state legislature in India or other educational institutes established by an act of Parliament or declared to be deemed as a University under section 3 of UGC Act, 1965, or possess an equivalent qualification recognized by the Ministry of HRD, Government of India. The Bachelor's Degree or equivalent qualification obtained by the candidate must entail a minimum of three years of education after completing higher secondary schooling (10+2) or equivalent. The percentage obtained by the candidate in the bachelor's degree would be based on the practice followed by the university/institution from where the candidate has obtained the degree. In case of the candidates being awarded grades/CGPA instead of marks, the equivalence would be based on the equivalence certified by the University/Institution from where they have obtained Bachelor's degree. In case the University/ Institution does not have any scheme for converting CGPA into equivalence marks, the equivalence would be established by the IIMs by dividing obtained CGPA with the maximum possible CGPA and multiplying the resultant with 100. Candidates appearing for the final year of bachelor's degree/equivalent qualification examination and those who have completed degree requirement and are awaiting results can also apply. Such candidates must produce a certificate from the Principal/Head of the Department/ Registrar/ Director / Director of the University/Institution certifying that the candidate is currently in the final year / is awaiting final results and has obtained at least 50% marks or equivalent (45% in case of candidates belonging to SC/ST/PWD category) based on the latest available grades/marks. The selection process consists of a written examination called the Common Admission Test (CAT), followed by a Group Discussion and a Personal Interview if you clear CAT. |

Re: What is the age limit to pursue MBA from IIM's?
HI,
The qualification criterion that is needed for a student to apply for the Common Admission Test is a graduate degree from an approved college. The students can be from any stream, but they are required to have a score of atleast 50 percent in their final exams. Students of the Sc/St/PH and OBC communities require only 45 percentage marks. Their is no age limit for CAT EXAM |

there is no age limit so far in the CAT. You can take the CAT as many numbers of times as you can. In case there are gap years between taking the CAT and any last degree you have attained, it is always recommended that you carry all those details in written, including proofs of employment if any, alon with you at the time of interview.
Eligibility: graduation from a recognized university with min 50% of aggregate |

MBA is a Master's degree course. To pursue MBA a candidate should has to be a graduate. To do MBA there is no age limit criteria or any upper age limit. You can go for MBA course at any age. As you want to pursue MBA from IIM's, you have to do hard work to get admitted in the course. The admission in the MBA course is done through the CAT examination. After clearing the CAT examination you have to face a group discussion. After group discussion is followed by a personal interview and then you can get admission in the IIM's. So prepare for that. Re: What is the age limit to pursue MBA from IIM's?
There is no age criteria in pursuing MBA in IIMs or in any institute.
MBA are for those who are interested in Business and management and corporate world. MBA is a 2 years post graduation course. For MBA, anyone who has completed his or her graduation in any field from a recognized university is eligible for MBA. After completing MBA, you will get jobs in sectors like: Business Consultancies, Brand & Marketing, Non-profit Organizations, Personal Business, Export Companies, Financial Organizations, Industrial Houses, Multinational Companies etc.... You can do MBA in regular basis or in corresponcence. For regular, You have to give MBA entrance exams like CAT, MAT, XAT, JMET, SNAP, ATMA, MAH-CET etc. After cracking those exams, you will get to admit in the colleges on the basis of the percentage obtained in those exams...graduation marks does not required for MBA admission. The entrance exam marks matter only... So you have to work very hard because cracking those entrance exams are very tough specially CAT which is considered as the most toughest management entrance exam in India. CAT is conducted by IIMs, the Class A B-schools in India... So prepare for those exams to study MBA. All the best..... |
