Union Public Service Commission conducts the National Defense Academy Examination. This exam is conducted by UPSC for twice for every year and by giving this exam you can enter the following academies:-

Let me tell you that the notification for NDA II Exam 2013 is already out and the exam is due in 11th Aug, 2013 for admission to the Army, Navy and Air Force wings of the NDA. The course will start from 2 July 2014.

Firstly to give this exam you need to be a citizen of India and this exam is only for the male unmarried citizens of India and they cant get married during their three year training period in NDA. Girls therefore are not allowed to give this exam.

The educational qualification to give NDA differs from one academy to the other. While to get into IMA you just need to be a a higher secondary passed out student or its equivalent from a recognized institution, for NA and AFA you not only have to be a 12th pass out but along with that you also need to have physics and mathematics as compulsory subject at 10+2 level.

Age should not be lower than 16.5 years when applying for this exam and it should not exceed the upper age limit of 19 years either.

If you are interested to apply for this exam then you need to apply online by logging into the official website of UPSC along with scanned Photograph and Signature of yours.

The amount can be paid either offline or online depending on which option suits you the best. If you want to pay offline then it has to be paid n any SBI branch or by using net banking facility of SBI or its subsidiary banks. SC/ST candidate need not pay the fee but for everyone else the cost of the fee is Rs. 100.
